Bussea Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Her activism is no more "shakier" than the average person's. let's stop holding celebs more accountable than we do ourselves 4 1

Their recent guests: Chace Crawford Megan Fox Ellen Pompeo Millie Bobby Brown Hunter Schafer Emma Chamberlain Kim Petras Aly & AJ Monica Lewinsky Kamala Harris Do you think under-25 bisexual and lesbian white women aren't the Chappell Roan base (complimentary)? Démodé Posted March 29 Posted March 29 the way people will never stop criticising her for all wrong reasons 5 1
Heirloom Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Why is Twitter users keep using the "Republican family" as some gotcha moment my God, the inherent need to stick into identity politics. These people really don't live in real life and lack f*cking nuances Mods really need to speed up that Twitter ban 1
Baby Dancer Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Asking her about politics is tired. Contact your local representative if you want someone to complain to. Miss Chappell knows herself, wish others were like her. Cant wait to hear more music from her. 4 1
akoaytao1234 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The reddit trend I am in is more damning towards this statement - especially how she literally just throw Kamala off the bus, because she not Pro-Palestinian enough like. Girl, pick a BS you actually stand on. I cannot at this thread being dense for what, is practically a White Lotus moment for her - softly implying that she does not care at large of WHAT IS the clear dismantling of American Democracy. 1 5
Thesedays Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She's right and yet people will find an excuse to be mad at her 5 1 1
niktperkins Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Can she rest at the khia asylum? We have been past artists that starve for fame and hate it at the same time 5 4
RoseGold Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She's right. Why would we look to a pop star for political opinions? 1
Popboi. Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She needs better PR training cause her points are almost always valid, but the way she makes them is turning people off or finding her annoying. Which isn't really her fault as all this stardom came almost overnight for her, she wasn't prepared. 1 1

Ah, there it is. So the issue from Chappell saying not to look for her as a political authority is cause people who defend Harris' poor campaign have a derangement syndrome over her and think Chappell not endorsing a pro-genocide candidate was somehow being a political authority. And that you irrationally blame Chappell for Harris' loss and not the poor political legacy Biden was crafting or the poor campaign Harris ran. 5 2 2
Happylittlepunk Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She is 100% right. People wanting pop stars to be politicians is so stupid. They don't have that kind of power doesn't matter how many posts or tik toks they make about a political isssue it's not going to change anything until you protest or vote your issues to actual politicians.
Scheissex Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She is pretty annoying but she's not wrong. Our obsession with having celebrities comment on every political event in the last few years is extremely weird. Do I need to hear Bebe Rexha's thoughts on the war in Ukraine? I probably don't! I'd rather be streaming this classic.. 1

akoaytao1234 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I am not even blaming her for Kamala's loss. The insistence that her politics is not present is awfully "convenient" during the most fascist period of American History. Where speaking up is actually looked down, especially when she was quite open about it before hand. She has politics AND openly has criticism - that is perfectly fine. Her framing her politics AS something she lost of words, because she is busy is also insane. Like she literally made those statement when she was on the rage. Not addressing the elephant in the room, would not repeal the words she clearly and has openly commented on. 1 1
Dolce Vita Posted March 29 Posted March 29 why is she on call me daddy. these girls need to stop supporting this racist
kellysclarkson Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) The irony Chappell: Don't look for me for politics Social media: Why is her activism shaky!? Edited March 29 by kellysclarkson
CandleGuy Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She's right and the way she so poorly communicates the message kinda drives the point home 4
