Blankspace2010 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Yeah have to agree - a huge portion of illegals are south American. Yet their people have voted in huge numbers for Trump. Now they want us to feel bad that their families, partners and friends are being deported?! Nah…: SUFFER. Lessons are only learned this way. I want to see every single Trump voter suffer as much as possible. 2 2

heckinglovato Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago This thread and everyone here laughing at the struggles of a misinformed working class who were fooled by a party and system that actively works against them JUST goes to show that liberals don't actually care about enacting progressive policies but only about gotcha moments and semantics The first page of this thread includes someone mocking his female Republican friend for hypothetically needing an abortion in the future how can you convince anyone that Democrats actually care about women or minorities? 7

At what point do we stop infantilizing republicans as if they aren't WILLFULLY IGNORANT? If you constantly vote in opposition to your own well-being, the only person to blame is yourself, not the ppl who have been constantly screaming from the mountain tops that (and this is just one example of so, so many) women deserve to have the right to choose what they do with their body! Y'all have got to stop feeling sorry for bigots, especially now that they are getting EVERYTHING they voted for! 1 5

Can you explain how these people were FOOLED? Trump is doing exactly what he and Project 2025 promised they would do from deportations, tariffs and dismantling the federal government. He announced these things on the campaign trail. But apparently Kamala wasn't inspiring enough (she is a woman of color) and Trump is their boy. So there you go. No one was fooled. This is what they wanted and they got it. Enjoy. 4

The majority of these millions are ill-informed voters and victims of a crooked two-party system that swings the pendulum back and forth between terrible right-wing and center-right politicians, who make no real effort to overhauling the status quo that has left them behind. I think demonizing the majority of voters (Trump won the popular vote too this time around) isn't going to magically swing the pendulum towards your ideology in 2028. And you'll need to get creative beyond constantly blaming your election losses on identity politics.

If this is how you really feel, then what was your reasoning behind demonizing Democrats in your OP? We are allowed to call people who voted and STILL support Donald Trump evil bc that is all he has been. And choosing to attack Democrats over republicans by saying they don't care about minorities and women, when Roe v Wade was overturned bc of republicans, trans women are constantly being targeted by republicans, DEI is being taken away bc of REPUBLICANS just makes you seem as…well…"misinformed" as the next mfer who inserts themselves into topics about Donald Trump just to trash a party who for damn sure will always be more progressive than he is. It is not my job and play into respectability politics with any republican. You insinuating that Democrats should hold hands and sing Kum By Yah with republicans is unrealistic. Especially when WE WERE THE ONES THAT VOTED THE RIGHT WAY and are still losing our rights, investments, savings, and minds bc of cousin-******* bigots who REFUSE to educate themselves about any ******* thing, let alone politics. 2

The average voter on both sides is ill-informed, I'm demonizing a class of voters who seemingly know better yet continuously opt out for the status quo and display a holier-than-thou attitude against others Trump being in office is as much your fault (plural you) as it is his voters' fault. You put awful people in office and the retaliation against that was another Trump term. Elect competent people with progressive platforms that connect with the working class (something stronger than being the party that didn't not overturn Roe V Wade) and perhaps you'll start to see tangible results

You put awful people in office and the retaliation against that was another Trump term. Elect competent people with progressive platforms that connect with the working class (something stronger than being the party that didn't not overturn Roe V Wade) and perhaps you'll start to see tangible results First of all it is widely documented that republicans are less educated in every single way than democrats. Thats not playing a holier-than-thou role, thats just facts. But YES Democrats get to act holier-than-thou (if that's what you want to call it) for the next four years! So many people who voted for trump (or worse, didn't vote at all) did so bc they thought they were getting back at Democrats (fair enough, Joe Biden presidency was horrible). But Donald Trump being the "lesson" that Democrats (and ultimately the American people as a whole) need to learn makes anyone who uses that rhetoric seem (and I'm using your words here) "misinformed" (but now I'll use my words) and dumb as all hell! And now we're three months into this presidency and the lives of literally EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN aged 18-30 changed forever with the way the job and stock markets have completely disintegrated. And when Democrats express their frustrations it's met with "well why are yall so mean to the republicans" like pls go to hell. A lot of mfers acted like they were too holier-than-thou to vote for Kamala and look where that has gotten us: a president who has already fired tens of thousands of govt employees, made damn near all of our allies into enemies, who STILL wants to further wipe out Palestine to turn it into a tourist destination for his billionaires pals. Let me also add that republicans overturning Roe v Wade is a huge ******* deal. If you think otherwise you're part of the problem like why did you even say that? This is why people are mean 1

And you'll need to get creative beyond constantly blaming your election losses on identity politics. i actually understand a lot of what you're saying and agree somewhat what i will say is that even if it's not "half" of the country, there is a very large percentage of this country, ranging from 25-40% who are just straight up evil, irredeemable fascists. they don't care , and would happily cheer on the incarceration or deaths of anyone who is not at the level of right-wing indoctrination they're at, particularly immigrants, queers, or for the most insidious among them they'd be fine with just killing off all the "liberals"; whatever that means on any given day. and the left has the almost Herculean task of attempting to court a yet unidentified percentage of people in the middle/on the other side who still have humanity. you're right we shouldn't demonize every trump voter, plenty of them voted purely out of economic desperation and will realize sooner or later, thought maybe not right up until the moment this country completely fractures, that they were wrong about trump. but you should be very clear eyed rightly scared about the fact that a numerically large portion of this country is indeed just evil. and there's a famous Oprah quote about what has to happen in regards to that population.
