Tbh, I am very concerned about the way the world is going, this tiktok charade was all an scam and they don't even care that we know now...

If I have to reach any conclusions... then clearly the governments in the past have kept people ignorant so they can push this "Conservative" mindset and fulfil their political agendas. Since people were ignorant, people didn't really complain and just supported everything because they loved "their country".

 

Then for a few decades globalisation happened at a faster rate than it could be controlled, free-access Internet was born and "Leftists" mindset naturally arised among people who were able to interact freely. Women rights, LGBTQ+ rights, animal rights, environmental rights... everything was just the inheritly human reaction and natural  conclusion to people who were exposed to enough information...

 

Finally, big corporations recently appropriated the internet and the debacle started rapidly... one example with Elon who modified twitter to show "inflammatory" post to normal user and promoted negative reactions and hate speech. Now all these corporations are censoring things in front of our faces, trying to push their agendas again but this time they dont even care that people are not ignorant anymore and we can see what they are doing. They will build a new bunch of ignorant population with the new generations and squash our voices.

I sound dramatic but I had to write this down because its very disheartening

Thank you for writing this, it's pretty spot on, the internet was sort of the Wild West for decades, but like you mentioned, it's become corporate and filled with bullsh*t.

I signed an NDA and shouldn't be telling you guys even this but I work for bytedance and all I can say is this shouldn't be surprising. They'll bend over to anyone if it's beneficial to them. It's why they added trumps name for the reopening of the app after their power play of going dark failed.  
 

It was a push to get the government to give them an extension and since Trump in passing talked about an extension they want to give him credit for something he hasn't even done yet. It's to good in good with him to stay running.
