? The rules on merch changed 4 years ago. No merch bundles counted for a few years until a few months ago when minimal merch bundles were allowed to be counted again. The last album to truly benefit from merch was probably Chromatica.

exclusive vinyl bought for collectors purposes - that's merch to me. the way vinyls became visual objects - that's merch. million different exclusive variants of the same album, that's something i would want billboard to put some rules on. i just don't think it represents music consumption.

No, the only reason Folklore was surprise released was so Taylor could benefit from the actual last week of bundles counting. Like it's such a blatant and ridiculous tactic infamous within stan culture, I'd think you as an atrl member would recall? Unless you are purposely playing ignorant and pretending Chromatica was as blatant with attempts to benefit off bundle.

Bad bunny getting the top spot by ONLY 1k is not the impressive achievement some of yall are making it out to be when he damn near lost the #1 spot to a LIVE ALBUM of a 6 YEAR OLD recording that was already released once before and almost outsold his BRAND NEW ALBUM with roughly an hour of sales + a few last minute streams of the digital version.
