Kelly is not a secret republican, she's very much public about it lol https://x.com/kellyclarkson/status/152263309138210816 But yeah, she's an anti-Trump one 1
Relampago. Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Well now that I hate Cowboy Casanova and Before He Cheats, the number of country songs I like has officially reached 0! And she couldn't even book the National Anthem FLOP! Whoever Christopher D. Macchio is WON! 8

She's performed at Obama's 2013 inauguration, has only ever spoken badly about Trump, she hosted Jill Biden's first televised interview as First Lady, and frequently covers trans stories on her show. She's made it pretty clear where she stands. 16 12

Almighty Gaga Posted January 13 Posted January 13 A country star performing for Trump is shocking in what way exactly 1 1
goldstargay Posted January 13 Posted January 13 A lot of country people (garth/miranda/kacey) are actually vocally supportive of LGBTQ and were for biden/harris/etc. - there is some sort of enlightenment that happens when these people leave their (often) rural towns and see that diversity is actually cool and most people just want the same thing in life. However, given Carrie's husband's views I actually wouldn't be surprised if they had a few white hoods in their closet. CARRIE IS OVER TO US. 5 2
Popular Post Diet Pepsi Posted January 13 Popular Post Posted January 13 we don't need Carrie when we have the superior Kacey Musgraves 13 3

Forestboy Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I'd say cancelled, but it's not like she has that much of a career anyway 1 2

jdanton2 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 with Trump winning we are getting the predictable performers that supported him . if Kamala had won we would have had someone better.

I know people aren't going to listen on twitter though Within country…ok? She's not having a crossover hit again and if she tries she knows she's going to be asked. She, like Morgan Wallen, has given up trying to appeal to other demos and will lean fully in to the political aspects as well that's always made country a dark genre as black country and out country artists have discussed at length. As for the white country gay fanbases mentioned in this thread, just anecdotally, they tend to fit into two categories, racist MAGA gays or those in it for the crossover artists not played on radio (Kacey) or legacy/kitsch (Dolly). She's made her choice and is smart enough with finances and to appease her husband to let it affect her bottom line. Outside of her bottom line, she's been a selfish moron for a while (the vaccine debacle) so I guess people are catching up. Unlike Gwen Stefani whose prayer app/country 180 reads to me as coming from a place of visceral fear from the Gavin Rossdale scandal, Carrie's always been a genuinely horrible person backstage and behind the scenes according to numerous blinds throughout the 2000s. This is who she's always been. 7
