livelikemusic Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Performed during a more positive time in history, outside, in the freezing cold. 5

Despite technical difficulties, but she slayed with an acapella version and is getting a lot of acclaim for it I wonder how some of ATRL's favs would've handled it with their pre-recorded inauguration vocals. 11
BravoTangoWhiskey Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Slayed? Lol she was pitchy and channeled her inner Kermit. Was a disaster performance from a vocal pov 1 3

Fancyhoodlum Posted January 21 Posted January 21 there are reports coming out that she threw a fit after she felt she was not given the same importance as Gaga and Beyonce. serves her well. 4
Stuart Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) Even if I'm still disappointed in her, I think she gave an amazing performance. Edited January 21 by Stuart

Jotham Posted January 21 Posted January 21 This is from the Daily Mail but mess if this is true Quote However, The insider explained that this had a large impact on the singer's performance, revealing: 'Carrie was dissatisfied with her performance at the event, primarily due to the limited space she was given, which left her feeling cramped and uncomfortable.' The source added: 'Her anxiety was high throughout the performance, and she felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, had received. 'She felt as if she was ushered in and out and had a mini hissy fit afterwards.' 3

The other performers were outside, I don't know why this one was inside with so many old balding yt men surrounding her. But the other performers immediately walked off stage after performing so idk about the being ushered in and out thing.

Idk about Dolly or Reba. It's Sheryl, not Cheryl. ;-) Dolly Parton has only said this, re: Tr*mp: ❝ Amid the fallout from the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal, Parton refused to condemn the disgraced president. In a 2019 interview with The Guardian, Parton was asked about this stance. She doubled down, explaining, "Yeah! I know those men. In every man I see someone in my family." However, when the writer asked if she saw her brothers in Donald Trump, she responded, "I ain't talking about Trump!" ❞ And she donated $1 million towards research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center during COVID-19, and was even vaccinated at the same medical center. Reba McEntire has maintained throughout her career, she does not get involved in politics, and continues to not get involved. 1

Those faves can do pre-recorded AND live without sounding shaky and pitchy AND they're not amateur enough to have their playback break down so there's your answer. But it was good enough for Trumpers apparently. Edited January 21 by Jay07
