The perfect summer smash + great MV, and reminds a lot of her golden Future Nostalgia times

what went wrong?

The bigger question is why Training Season flopped? That is pure pop perfection.

Those bells deserved better, same with Training Season

The tracks could have been more polished though, I get what they were going for, but the production in both needed some tweaking, especially TS

The bridge in TS kinda kills the momentum too

It's Hallucinate part 2 and that already flopped because it was gay af

Now, that's the real question.

OT: Honestly, don't know. It has everything to smash, tbh. Maybe bad timing? I don't know.

The second least exciting song in RO and a Hallucinate rehash, not even her fans were listening :) imo there were better single choices

It's pretty mid, I think it does harken back to FN in a was TS/Houdini don't but by that time it was too late.

I love the song but it has nothing that'd make it a hit aside from the clubs. It's a very straightforward dance song and it lacks a good hook compared to Training Season, and it also didn't receive any of the same push that Houdini got for example.

Plus by the time it was released, Espresso was also released and Good Luck, Babe was getting a lot of momentum. She was getting buried in the competition.

It's still doing 1M daily, it's not a mega hit but also not a straightforward flop.

if Houdini didn't smash, nothing was going to

Absolutely terrible video and not releasing it simultaneously with Grammy performance

I'm so sad. I really wanted DUAchella :weeps:

Mid generic song. Houdini & Training Season were better and more unique, i wish the entire album was more like these 2 songs

End Of An Era, These Walls, Whatcha Doin, Falling Forever, Illusion, Maria and Happy For You are all great tracks

It's just nothing special.

It's an amazing song but very generic, I get why they chose it as the single after Houdini/Training Season underperformed since those two were a *little* different for Dua and Illusion is classic Dua.

I just don't think it was the right musical environment for it to smash.

Lack of promotion, genuinely.

Its not catchy, special or exciting at all.

A very cold track if it makes sense. I doesn't do much.

Mid & meh to put it in 2 words

I love Whatcha Doing, i think it would have made a better 3rd single quality wise than Floplusion

Whatcha Doin is great album track but as single it would sounds like FN reject, it is too similar

These Walls would be great international single for current soundscape of popular music, it has very wide appeal for GP

Falling Forever and Maria would be good for non US markets.
