Anything can happen in 3 months. Especially when Gaga is releasing her next single and album in February which will kill a lot of streams for DWAS. Don't act like you believe it's gonna do 10M streams a day until March

do you still not know what happens to catalogs when an artist release a new song and an album or are you acting dumb just because its a Gaga song?
 

Why an album where DWAS is included kills its streams? There's also a potentially Grammy performance. DWAS ain't going anywhere soon.

And even though it's really early at this point, TOTC is projecting DWAS to end up as the #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 Year End chart for 2025 (it has DWAS at #2 with only two points behind ABS, but it'll pass it in points this upcoming week). Now something else can obviously come along and smash really hard and end up taking the #1 spot, but DWAS is still going to end up charting pretty high on the YE chart regardless. Combined with the fact that it's most likely going to end up going Diamond in the US, you can't really say it's not "that big" there either.

And yes, if it's tracking to become the biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the year 2025, then it is performing massively in the US whether you want to admit it or not. 

The Swift evidence-backed clocks

 

Idgi why people are acting dense about DWAS (or any Gaga song, for that matter) to downplay its achievements. The song has been out for just about 5 months now and in the same timeframe has already pushed more global units than a lot of songs ahead of it.

 

Simple law of extrapolation tells us that given its performance to date, still getting new peaks almost 5 months in and an eventual slowdown, its going to continue adding up units to its total for a LONG time and will likely be (one of) the contenders for the biggest song of the 2020s. We're just calling it now because we can observe and analyze data trends. 

 

It will be interesting to revisit this thread a few years down the line 

 

OT: It's a great song and an instant classic so would be very well deserved! Congrats Gaga on having yet another career-defining global smash under your belt 17 years into your career, which is difficult to get not everyone has that.
