LittleFreak Posted Sunday at 11:13 AM Posted Sunday at 11:13 AM There's no hype for this album. I think he'll debut with okay numbers, but will underperform for his standards.
JT55331 Posted Sunday at 11:23 AM Posted Sunday at 11:23 AM He is a male artist so even if he underperforms the scrutiny and narrative of him being "over" will be absent; he will remain unbothered. If a female artist had the most monthly listeners and released an album with little to no noise she would be panned and branded as a massive flop which would be hard to recover from

Hexchromatica Posted Sunday at 12:22 PM Posted Sunday at 12:22 PM I've enjoyed both singles so I'm hyped
MP3 Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM I'm a fan of the Weeknd since BBTM and it's the first time I'm not that exited about a release from him, for me he delivered smash albums one after the other, Starboy was epic, After Hours even more and then there was Dawn FM, my favourite album. But with HUT, it's the first time I'm not feeling the singles, DITF is so bland and cheap and uninspired, it really sounds like an unfinished demo, Timeless is nowhere near Heartless or Party Monster. There is only São Paulo that gives me a little hope. Still exited and curious for the album tho, but the rest of the songs must be incredible to make me forget the first two singles 1

It's a great pop song and the main instrumental riff throughout screams hit single. I can see why the label put it out first. It flopping means the 80s-influenced synth-pop trend is over thank God I already released all my 80s synth-pop tracks Tbh I thought it sounded "too clean"... like the song needed an edge.
