My guess is Billie has the edge with how much she's campaigning and how the the Grammys generally favour her, whereas Beyoncé has her difficult history with AOTY going against her + I think the CC Halftime Show didn't really reinvigorate the album. People seemingly still don't feel that passionate about 'COWBOY CARTER' in the way they felt about her previous AOTY noms or even some of these other contenders this year.

I don't get why people think Sabrina or Charli have a chance. Sabrina has a monstrous year but AOTY...she'll be most competitive in Pop album and the songs categories. Charli will take over Dance categories. they are not going to give her major awards just because of cultural dominance. WOuld be nice but nah.

 

Billie and Beyonce can pull votes across every genre (Beyonce: R&B/Hip hop, pop and for this cycle country/americana)...(Billie: Pop, rock, jazz and can pull from other genres too).

 

Taylor is not taking up enough votes as she has it 4x and TTPD is solid but not competitive. The other three pop girls are not grammy darlings or competitive to take from Billie or Beyonce for votesplitting. Jazz makes up a considerable amount of voters and a lot of country voters might not vote for Beyonce so that might give Billie the edge.

Interesting take but I think TTPD might end up pulling more country voters than Cowboy Carter. But Daddy I Love Him and Fresh Out The Slammer might swing a lot of those voters especially given the reception of Cowboy Carter by the mainstream country guys.
