Fans of Blackpink's Lisa almost missed out on seeing their idol in season three of HBO's "The White Lotus."

 

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Wednesday, the show's creator, Mike White, shared that he initially didn't want to cast Lisa — born Lalisa Manobal — in the show.

 

"I did not know who Lisa or Blackpink was. All I knew was that there was a Blackpink girl in 'The Idol,' and I was like, 'We're not doing that,'" White said, referring to Lisa's Blackpink bandmate Jennie Kim, who was in the 2023 HBO series co-created by Sam Levinson.

The KIOL girls are literally so dumb . Like they were popular globally and really stood out bc they were the only ones doing mature concepts. They decided in 2025 to pick a theme that everyone should avoid for very obvious reasons!!!
 

I also need the Pinks to apologize!  Yeah, it was 10 years ago, but apologizing is not going to hurt anyone. Also, YG can choke, as always they do nothing to protect their trainees. The fact that it happened last year with Ahyeon too, like, when will they finally LEARN???

Sorry but i don't agree with this narrative that SM didn't give her anything.

 

She didn't have the talent to have a solo comeback

 

SM gave her good opportunities as an actress which i think she will now pursue. 

 

She's been through a lot personally so hopefully this is a good change for her.
