The hook of that ridiculous song is abhorrent no matter who howls it - but especially Kesha trying

I think that was a disclaimer about her previous video being specificly about Atlantic Records, she said that was the first video and she will do a second and third.

Atlantic Records, the same label that sabotaged Lupe Fiascos career when he was getting hits.

Isn't there also a Kesha solo version of this song with completely different verses? Maybe that is what Pebe was working on and when that was scrapped she still wanted some type of compensation despite not writing the hook, which is definitely ridiculous.

Anyways stream Revenge :WAP:

obviously I love Kesha so much but damn this really sucks :tornado: poor Priscilla, I feel like she's gotten treated unfairly a LOT. I'm not pinning all the blame on Kesha or Pebe, nor do I wanna doubt Priscilla's experience or try to invalidate her feelings, but that thing she said about not hitting the notes kinda hit me with some ambivalence :ryan2: I get it on one hand, being maybe a more seasoned singer in one way than someone else but being overshadowed, but obviously not to the extent that she's talking cause I'm not famous (my first thought was at open mics when I've had female singers be clapped for more than me because they're women and the audience is full of annoying drunk straight men even though I'm the more talented vocalist  sorry I had to relate this to a personal experience real quick). but then again at the same time, I gotta concur with @vanishingbee up there^… we've all heard Kesha slay with the vocals on Praying both live and in studio, so I don't really get the "her not being able to hit the note" of it all unless she was in a weaker spot vocally at the time :ryan2: which I don't think is the case cause Kesha had already shown that she'd been a highly above average singer by that point in time (see: anything about the Warrior era)

Here are the raw Kesha vocals from the recording session by the way. I understand where Priscilla is coming from but this story in particular has a lot of holes. She wrote a song and got rightfully credited for it. The Pebe v Luke dispute is much deeper than this and anyway neither her or Kesha got payed for Timber in the end.

Am I wrong in thinking that it doesn't make sense that Kesha couldn't hit the notes? We've heard Praying, she's got the range.

Kesha herself has mentioned a couple times that it took her many tries to hit the note before the final chorus though. Hence why she usually avoids doing it during live performances. This isn't to discredit Kesha, I think she's a good vocalist, just info-dumping.

This happens with every label but gosh, Atlantic seems so messy :rip:

Where she's getting it twisted is that Kesha & her mom wrote the verses that Kesha performs live which is all a part of how this works. Sad to see her cutting down a publicly wronged woman and her mother with this song that was coming out at a truly dark and horrible time for Kesha, literally at her rock bottom. Shame on her, because Kesha won't even be able to defend herself.

Specially when we have proof she can:

Anyways, I think she's doing it for the clicks and attention. Pebe is against taking credits for songs so that wouldn't make sense, she even said Kesha and her worked on some lyrics, not everything made the cut but definitely some parts, so I guess that's why she's credited.
