  1. 1. Is Gaga’s power as a solo hit maker still there, before the decade ends?

Do it. I bet they are not as embarrassing as all Urinade singles, Break My Hole, Cuff It (and soon Texas Hold 'Em) streams :giraffe:

She just can't keep relying on collabs forever. Once DWAS starts dying down and she moves onto promoting and releasing her new album next year, will the true lead single come soon?

No old 10+ year old songs going viral again, but actual new music from her

Hardly but you never know. Her solo projects are not really gp friendly tho she's experimenting and making whatever the hell she likes so I don't know why y'all bothered so much. As long as she has hits and at the same time doing whatever she likes it is what it is.

Yes.

Halo?

Sweet Dreams?

Formation?

Tell me I'm wrong then proceed to validate what I said.

Halo and Sweet Dreams are from 2008. IF Formation is a hit with a #10 peak and 7 weeks on chart, isn't Stupid Love a hit with a #5 peak and 10 weeks on chart?

But they were technically released as singles in 2009.

So follow your own advice and educate yourself before hitting reply, madame.

I literally do not understand what Beyonce not having a hit single from 2009-2022 has to do with Gaga not getting a solo hit for the next five years.

:psyduck:

And it's so telling how Monsters want to bring up Beyonce when the Swifties were also dragging Stefani through the dirt when Disease bombed as well.

The fact that y'all conveniently leave out 2008-2011 in order to create your own narrative is WILD. Either compare recent releases or all releases. But wait, that would paint Beyonce in a poor light, wouldn't it?

Forgive me in that case. She didn't have a solo hit in 13 years. Does that sound better?

I only said that to a Beyonce fan for mocking Gaga for not having a hit solo single in 13 years while Beyonce JUST got a solo hit single a couple of years ago after the same amount of time of being labeled a flop.

I'm not dragging Swifties because they own the music world atm, they are legit undraggable. And i'm trying to drag Beyonce either. GOD knows I love her old music SO much. It's just a bit annoying seeing her fans acting like that when they were in monsters' spot till a couple years ago.

oh just like u conveniently left out bey's 1998-2008 (10 yrs compared to u mentioning gaga's 3 year 08-11) to formulate ur weird ass narrative? :lmao:

The huge difference is that Beyonce was able to retain her status and significance regardless of where her singles were charting during those years.  The same cannot be said for Gaga in her drought.

Self titled and Lemonade may not have had a ton of hits, but they were such huge, cultural-shifting moments for her that it didn't matter. Could the same be said about Gaga during Artpop/Joanne/Chromatica?

Beyoncé's name now somehow feels bigger now than it was during the Sasha Fierce. Could the same thing be said about Lady Gaga vs her TFM/BTW glory days?

Beyonce fucks up her releases so it's not the same. Gaga promoted the crap out of Artpop and Joanne, even Chromatica got more than what Beyonce has done. LG7 got more than what Beyonce did the last 2 eras until this halftime show.

I knew this was gonna come up.

Gaga's "last solo hit" according to y'all: 2011. Time from 2011 to now, 13 years.

Bey's "last solo hit" before Break My Soul: 2009. Time from 2009 to 2022, 13 years.

I was only trying to show to a Beyonce stan that their fave went through the same period of having no hits yet she managed to come back stronger than ever, hence why be nasty and think that Gaga might not do the same?

Are we in a different universe? Ever since C2C Gaga's name has been associated with a once in a generation voice, incredible performances, even some great acting. The GP respects her way more now than in her "glory days" because now they see her talent. Of course not as much as Beyonce, but that's because Beyonce has been consistently put out quality material while Gaga struggled during the ARTPOP/Joanne eras quite a bit with subpar albums. The GP respects Gaga a fuckton at this point in time, they just don't like her recent material.

You see ARTPOP/Joanne/Chromatica (a very well reviewed album, btw) while ignoring Oscars 2015, multiple Grammy's she's won during that period, ASIB and its' soundtrack, her Oscar win. Yes, the albums were bad. But somehow Gaga always found a way to show her talented side to the public.

I really do mean that I like Beyonce. She's the most talented girl out there at this point, I've always stood by that. But having stans of someone who was in the commercial gutters for over a decade come for Gaga who's been going through the same is quite ironic (and not even the same, Gaga had Shallow in the meantime, which even if not solo it IS a hit because of Gaga... Bradley isn't really a big name in music).

So we're going to be using hypothetical scenarios that IF she promoted, she would have hits? I agree that she does **** up her releases, but that doesn't mean that IF she had promoted, the material would've clicked with the public (the songs wouldn've obviously done better but would they become hits? We'll never know). Just like it happened with this Halftime Show and Cowboy Carter.

:rip: in the 2010s

gagas last [real] solo hit was million reasons.

beys last [real] solo hit was formation.

both released in 2016.

She will, but it really doesn't matter at this point. She's solidified her legend status and keeps releasing music the majority of her fans love, which is all that matters.

?

Who made this specifically about the 2010s?

Thread title is implying that Gaga doesn't have a hit in the 2020s.

If we don't consider Stupid Love a hit, we can't consider Formation one either. IMO, both were hits. I'm just going by the OPs logic here.

The GP apparently respects Lady Gaga but they let Joker 2 go to shambles and let Disease go to waste.
