Rent was due, fad allegations were mounting up, they had to do everything in their power to get a Japanese grammy

yea she's pretty great

anyway, these hold a special place in my heart and mind

I like them for various reasons

Idek who else does the ton of back up dancers thing. Janet I believe but I can't find any good footage for her performances; the camera work all sucks. Kpop groups have that sometimes but lowkey they don't do special performances, and if they do, they don't really hit lol

these were really cool in recent times:

1. Michael performance: ikyfl the last 30 secs and his mic finally turns on to say a few words. Bye!

2. Britney? In a thread about best performers, vocals included?

3. That Madonna performance is sickening, but the vocals?

4. Britney again (no vocals)

5. Was their wardrobe, styling, and production budget Monopoly money?

6. Britney again.

7.  Ariana. This is on the right track, but I think she wasn't a seasoned enough performer yet. She's still too green and unsure, I think she'll deliver something iconic in the future though

8. Doja is one of the few new stars that can actually put on a show. However, as a rapper she's completely overshadowed by Beyoncé's vocals.

Great stage presence, acceptable vocals, production was nothing special, and the main hit against you is that absence of choreography. Unfortunately Beyonce has put on much more impressive singing/dancing than this, including her recent halftime show

Tina was a rock performer not a pop performer so you're not gonna see her with a snake wrapped around her ass. And the vocals were miles better than "acceptable" lmao

Only the older legends maybe. It's telling how some can't post videos of what is better, it's certainly not their favs anyway :suburban:

As for people saying she is lip syncing, MJ lipped for his life and is still iconic. He was not performing and singing like Bey is at 43 though.

This could've been a thread about celebrating great performances that are the same calibre as Bey's, but instead we're in here fighting :gaycat6:

She lip synced the majority of it.

The below shows why Tina Turner is the greatest female performer who ever lived. Born to do it. 61 years old, 100% live, dancing her ass off, but above all, dripping with charisma and always connected to the audience.

Single-handedly shut the conversation down with this perfect take :clap3:

See i love Tina like a fat bish loves hot bread..BUT what Beyonce does here is more impressive than what Tina is doing.

Funny how Beyonce always gets accused of lipping when she's just that good at live singing and proves it time &time again regardless of what's said in here  by some of you lol

Yes there are other great performers  besides Beyonce.

She is just rare because she is a vocalists as well when usually its trade off.

Her music also just isn't as good as MJ/Madonna/Tina.

In terms of craft, I'd say she is the best right now. If we look at mainstream artists at least. But she is very much a one trick pony, which could be a bad thing depending on who you ask. It's good that she has a landmark, distinctive style, but she won't be the type of performer to surprise you on a regular basis - and that's ok, she doesn't have to.

As the replies in this thread, and all the other 20 threads ranting about this performance proves.

Bey really gets under a lot of yalls skin like nobody else, doesn't she.
