naval23 Posted Friday at 08:53 PM Posted Friday at 08:53 PM She topped it with "The Edge of Glory" which hasn't been topped since I fear
Cyanide Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Posted Friday at 08:58 PM I don't think the music video will ever be topped musically I love her songs on ASIB album and DWAS, I hope she gives us more well-done rock and AC stuff because she really shines. I think when it comes to the electropop she gets too in her head and then ends up making sterile stuff like Disease, give us that classic musical theater CUNTERY miss thing
Denim Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Posted Friday at 08:58 PM She has topped it many times song wise, but in terms of a fully packaged single (song, video, media, tv performances, tour performances) it still is the peak Gaga release. it also perfectly captures who Gaga is as an artist & pop star, which makes it even more strong 3
Badgalbriel Posted Friday at 09:05 PM Posted Friday at 09:05 PM Bad Romance is the best pop song of the 21st century. No one will ever top it. 3 1
nostalgic Posted Friday at 09:06 PM Posted Friday at 09:06 PM (edited) How many times do we have to mention Dance in the Dark? Why must masterpieces be ignored? Edited Friday at 09:07 PM by nostalgic
Strawberry Bubble Posted Friday at 09:07 PM Posted Friday at 09:07 PM I don't think so. 'Die with a Smile' is an amazing song, but nothing will ever top PeakGa (and 'Bad Romance' is the ultimate representation of it). Not even Gaga herself can recreate the magic of that era.
frankvert Posted Friday at 09:10 PM Posted Friday at 09:10 PM I mean we all have our favorites & arguments. But Bad Romance is LITERALLY the definition of a cultural reset. Nothing was the same - there was a clear before & after Bad Romance, song & MV. It's not even Gaga's fault if she hasn't "topped it" since… because no other artist has either. Pop culture moments as magnanimous as BR only come once in a generation, and Gaga was able to bend the zeitgeist to her will. She literally cemented herself as a living legend on her 5th official single release. How many artists can say they were able to do that? Not many. 2 1
Great808 Posted Friday at 09:40 PM Posted Friday at 09:40 PM She did with Applause, Judas, and BM and almost did it again with Disease.
Bethenny Frankel Posted Friday at 10:05 PM Posted Friday at 10:05 PM Alejando, Marry the Night and DWUW (solo) all top it tbh
sugarysunflower Posted Friday at 10:19 PM Posted Friday at 10:19 PM It's her music video peak that's for sure
Capris Groove Posted Friday at 10:31 PM Posted Friday at 10:31 PM She has much better songs but I doubt it from a pop culture POV.
Filthy Pop Posted Friday at 11:02 PM Posted Friday at 11:02 PM No. The instrumental alone is better than some of y'alls faves careers
Movimento Perpétuo Posted Friday at 11:40 PM Posted Friday at 11:40 PM She already did it with Marry the Night, so.... 1
babyforlife Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM (edited) Song? she topped it with The Edge of Glory MV? No. BR remains her best and one of my fav mv of all time Edited yesterday at 02:47 AM by babyforlife typo
Rotunda Posted yesterday at 02:49 AM Posted yesterday at 02:49 AM She topped it with G.U.Y., but y'all aren't ready for that conversation. An elite bridge.
badidearight Posted yesterday at 05:34 AM Posted yesterday at 05:34 AM she already has with dance in the dark and so happy i could die
