l3disko Posted yesterday at 11:10 PM Posted yesterday at 11:10 PM You would think that a song that was a ~#1 hit~ would at least chart again after 26 million people hearing it, no? Just more evidence of fraudulence, smoke and mirrors, and Jay Z working things behind the scenes. 5 3 3

slw84 Posted yesterday at 11:19 PM Posted yesterday at 11:19 PM Well one of the main benefits is that there's one more week left for voting so for the AOTY campaign it's quite timely. At least it was a smart strategic promo move for her...
Flanders Posted yesterday at 11:21 PM Posted yesterday at 11:21 PM I feel like Beyoncé missed an opportunity with this event. She could have used it to create a show where she tried to spark joy and connection with audiences maybe with her own hits or just well known songs to fit the occasion. I totally get why she did the CC compilation, but that era is dead and buried. So this was a wasted opportunity to look forwards instead of backwards imo. it was still a great show! but I doubt it made a big impact on anyone aside from existing fans and therein lies the issue for her. She's now at the point in her career where she, again, needs to kind of reinvent herself and do something unexpected in order to stay interesting as a celebrity and popstar. that's just my opinion though
Doctor Dick Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago CC is just not what her fans want and it did what it had to. Do the tour and onto the next project.
Thor Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago And its cuz the performance was bad. She has clearly declined a lot as a performer + the music is terrible. 1 3
Lady Claire Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Because Cowboy Carter is an album that needed promo. Her fans doesn't like country music and it's not a sound the general public wants from her - it needed videos, performances and her going all out to sell this idea. Now it's just too late. She was lucky that THE went viral when it came out cause if it wasn't for that this era would've been her first actual major flop. I don't think the public is interested on it now, as it doesn't bring the surprise factor (since it came out almost a year ago) and everyone wants her to move on to whatever is next.

Slap Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago People are over the novelty of her acting too good to promote her music, release visuals and the whole god complex Carters thing. As a fan from DC days she is so down to earth and sweet it's a shame that we don't get to see more of her personality these days because I'm personally not interested in her marriage or husband. Give me a Freakum Dress Queen. That said Texas Hold 'Em is a beautiful song and the album is good. But you can't expect it to be massive based off no effort to promote it, we saw how that worked for Britney, couple it with controversy behind the scenes it doesn't work.
Sannie Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I mean, if you look at the actual numbers of her music, she doesn't do as well as her fans and PR team wants people to believe. They want people to believe she pulls Taylor numbers when truth is she pulls 10%. 6

But you can't expect it to be massive based off no effort to promote it, we saw how that worked for Britney, couple it with controversy behind the scenes it doesn't work. I don't really get this bc how has she not promoted her music? She promoted her Texas Hold Em/16C single releases by announcing them at the Super Bowl earlier this year. She sent her singles to radio which is promotion. She appeared at the iHeartRadio awards the week of CC release. She did an album signing event on album release week. She promoted Ya Ya at the Olympics. She promoted Levii's Jean's by including it in an ad which is relevant to the song. She's now performed the songs live. She's reportedly planning to tour the album. Or does all this not count? Yeah it may not be the level of promo she did in her 20s or 30s or like the younger popstars atm do, but the reason why is exactly that - she's in her 40s and her family/children is her #1 priority - as it should be. Considering that, I think the amount of work/promo she does do is still commendable. What exactly is the form of promotion you think she should be doing? I think ATRLers have a very archaic view that 'promotion' only means appearing on late night TV shows. But it's not the 2000s and nobody watches those anymore, I can't see that being effective. As for your other points - when has she ever said she's too good to release videos? Or when has she ever said she has a god complex? These are things you've made up in your head or you've let the insane conspiracy theorists convince you of. Edited 22 hours ago by Burn 1
Glamthony Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago The album it's boring, that's all. Unlike Ren, that was an amazing álbum a 10/10
babyforlife Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Beyonce's last listenable album was 4. RTW(G), Countdown, End of Time, Love on Top WHEW
enchanted0 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago She had a big jump on Spotify, don't do it too much 1 1

MonsterTown Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Who would have thought right? so an amazing performance of this caliber according to ATRL has NO IMPACT? maybe wasn't that good after all
