It's a bad song lol, but tbh I heard it so much while shopping this year and saw people humming along, it was so strange  Like as a Swiftie I was even like "really, you randoms know this song?"

I like a bunch of Taylor's other music, so don't come for me, but CTF is honestly just a TERRIBLE song. It came on while I was shopping the other day and I actually noted to myself how annoying it was  The Old Timey Version she released back in 2021 is an improvement, but nonetheless, i just don't think the song itself is that salvageable.

 

Taylor should release a modern Christmas album/EP with her improved vocals and it would be a more probable success. They should let CTF sit in the past, where it belongs.

Listen I love Taylor and I did love this song when it first came out but it just hasn't aged for me well at all? It doesn't seem like a classic.

 

Santa Tell Me and Britney's My Only Wish (This Year) have aged much better. If Taylor wants a possible Christmas classic she should release something else and a new Christmas EP or album.

I liked it at first but it has aged terribly for me and now annoys me too

Sometimes I consider closing Taylor trolling threads, but then I remember that OTHs so rarely get the opportunity to celebrate anything, so I just leave them open

I'm a taylor fan just wanted to give the OTH a little bit of a holiday sanctuary like the barn to queen virgin mary  seems like most swifties hate CTF more than me even based on the thread i linked in OP lsmdfaf

I m not gonna lie - with how huge Taylor was this year and last, I thought it'd reach massive new peaks

 

To find it only has 250M Spotify streams...

She can promote "Last Christmas" (Taylor's Version) next year

It's a great song, I like it. Not as catchy as UTT or STM but it flows well and the songwriting is brilliant for a supposedly easy on the ears Christmas song. I don't think it'll ever be embraced though during Christmas, but I hope to be proven wrong.
