Popular Post Kristie Kuwa Posted 10 hours ago Popular Post Posted 10 hours ago I thought shes all smoke and mirror and her success is all payola? Did Jay buy her the certifications as well? I need answer from my Swiftie friends. They are so good with analyzing numbers 4 9 10
Popular Post Mariano Posted 10 hours ago Popular Post Posted 10 hours ago People often forget that Bey was the #1 Hot 100 artist of the 00s and she is still here killing it in the 20s, she is the biggest legend of the century and she easily rivals the other female legends from the 90s and 80s The only thing they have over her is a better pure sales climate. 13 7
wastedpotential Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Taylor and Rihanna haven't meaningfully updated their certifications in several years, and the Big Machine dispute will likely keep Taylor from ever certifying her pre-Lover catalogue again Congrats on the diamond singles though, welcome to the club 1 8

IsidoraMarí Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago She has the most CERTIFIED TITLES... isn't Rihanna still social distancing in overall certifications with less titles. 2
Badgalbriel Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Cause the other girls have not updated their certs. Just like RWT was at some point the biggest female tour, just because the other girls had not released their numbers yet. Edited 9 hours ago by Badgalbriel 2 1
Eternium Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Certifications aren't automatic. Beyonce won't stand a chance against streaming-era artists like Billie, Ariana, Taylor and Rihanna because she just debuted too early. It's a massive, massive disadvantage. 5
Saint James Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago well now that the swifties have answered, does OP have any other questions? 4

BnPac Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago She has most titles now because a big part of her album tracks get certified. She doesn't necessarily get huge singles so it's good to know deep cuts in Lemonade, ST etc are certified. But yes, it's still something she's at a disadvantage because it's so reliant on streaming now and she's the oldest career wise.

DevilsRollTheDice Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago You're asking Swifties to tell you that Taylor's album sales, single sales, and streams dwarf Beyoncé's? Y'all realize that certifications aren't automatic, right? Music consumption is music consumption regardless of whether labels pay the RIAA for a plaque. Don't you feel embarrassed to cling to something you'd lose instantly if Republic/Big Machine cut a check? 7 1

Rotunda Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 2 minutes ago, By the Water said: Not every artist is chart obsessed and updates all their certifications Obviously certifications are a ridiculous bragging point because they aren't automatically updated, but a Swiftie accusing Bey of chart obsession is a bit…much 3 5
burninredhot Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago She had to end the commercial flop allegations swifties were throwing at her after that billboard list and certified every possible song (i assume), A smart lady 3

Don't you feel embarrassed to cling to something you'd lose instantly if Republic/Big Machine cut a check? I think this is a more-or-less facetious question that gets people to give the very answer that Hive gave when people were deriding Beyoncé for not having diamond singles or saying x sold more therefore is a greater artist or attributing the respect and position she has to smoke and mirrors PR, etc. The fact that they aren't automatic should have been understood before, and that's the point, I think. Popular Post swissman Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Before 2022 haters clung to "She hasn't had a solo #1 since 2008" (even though it was 2009, they always rounded down). But then she got one, and then this year she got another. Before today haters reminded people "She doesn't even have a diamond single." As of today, she has two. And this is why haters often get so mad about Beyoncé's success and notoriety. Nothing they have to say sticks for very long, and if it does it probably doesn't actually matter. They dislike the general love she has as an artist, and try to sniff out statistics that make her look bad, or that make others look better in an effort to suggest she's not what she seems. But then when their points are ruined by actual facts, like subsequent #1 hits or diamond singles, suddenly the "well" responses come out. Well, her #1s didn't last as long as other #1s. Well, other people haven't certified all their records either. BUT the reality is that none of this matters. Haters can go on refusing to believe the accolades Beyoncé has are earned from artistic excellence not PR, they can refuse to allow achievements mean things when it comes to Beyoncé, but at the end of the day Beyoncé is Beyoncé. And every fan should wish that their fave is neither measured by their last #1 nor the amount of diamond singles they have, but actually by the quality and importance of their work. I cannot think of a single pop artist in history whose cultural importance, notoriety, acclaim and general status INCREASED while the #1s and top tens decreased almost entirely. THAT is power. THAT is truly the power of pop music done well. Edited 8 hours ago by swissman 15 10

IsidoraMarí Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Why isn't the title for this thread changed. it's a lie Beyonce has the most certified Titles with 103 amounting to 161 million in certified sales Rihanna has 74* certified Titles amounting to 187 Million in certified sales.
