Popular Post Beyonnaise Posted December 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 11, 2024 (edited) This is such a fascinating moment. The gulf between the corporate media respectability narratives and the sentiment of the public have never felt more at odds. People in comment sections from Ben Shapiro videos to NPR posts are sharply aligned in a way I've literally never seen. The fact that he's hot and comes from money and the Ivy Leagues is by far the biggest factor here, they wish they could just sweep it under the rug as if he was an aggrieved ugly loner incel, but it isn't sticking. He's done more than AOC in bringing attention to the healthcare scam industry in this country and more than Bernie's pathetic multi-decade career in congress with some direct action against a CEO regarding this issue. He hasn't wasted his life away. He avenged the murder of *millions* by the healthcare scam insurance industry. Yeah. That's why his story is different. His message is sent straight to young people, and that's what politicians are missing: empathy. That age bracket, young, healthy people who are unwittingly funding the same convoluted system, same bracket who also don't even utilize health insurance and will probly never see the grift until they have a major medical, which is rare and that's how the system thrive. Well, until Luigi. Now they're seeing this young personable, supposedly healthy guy, and that it could happen to anyone. Its not just and old person's problem. He capture that message minus the politics of it. 3

And not just in a "ruin my ass***e" way (although I certainly wouldn't object) but just seems like a sweet, caring guy that you would like to have in your life. It breaks my heart that he was in so much pain that he went in such a downward spiral and ruined his life. We love you Luigi! We are here for you! 14

Pikachoo Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 (edited) now that I'm unbanned for saying the truth about Beyonce, let me give my thoughts on this. 1) healthcare in the US is beyond messed up. health is a HUMAN RIGHT. your life is not a commodity to be traded on by shareholders. everyone deserves the dignity of healthcare. 2) murdering the ceo of an insurance company is nothing but an act of narcissism. yes, he suffered at the hands of the american healthcare system, yes he had every right to be angry, but murdering the face of a company doesn't solve anything. the ceo will be replaced. gen z will move on to the next tik tok fad. with this man's intelligence and money (he came from a rich family), he could have dedicated his entire life to healthcare reform. getting involved in politics, giving speeches, working for a non-profit, volunteering, becoming a spokeperson for a failed system. instead, he did this one act and now he has to sit in a jail cell for the rest of his life. versus committing to a life of championing healthcare reform. he was angry, he was shortsighted and did what he did. but in no way am I celebrating this or calling him a freedom fighter. I feel sorry for him, that's all. a shame that this is the way it turned out for him, because he could have done so much more for a man in a privileged position as his own. Where are y'all living if this isn't common? There's more to attractiveness than just physical appearance. If those guys you're talking about aren't similarly well educated (BSE & Master's @ Ivy League-tier school) and wealthy, they're already at a point deficit, which has to be made up for in other areas somehow. It helps that he also just seemed like a caring, great person, at least prior to all this, based on the testimonials from people who were close to him. 4
