Like forsay, the disgraced Mayor of NY Eric Adams speech deliberately called him a killer and a terrorist -which is illegal because he hasn't been convicted and he's influencing the minds of potential jurors, therefore spoiling the jury selection- or the fact that the pre-trial judge is married to a former Pfizer executive. The aren't enough to drop the case entirely but enough buildup and maybe the lawyer has a solid case to a mistrial. if a mistrial is called, then a new trial begins. he doesn't just go free unless the state decides to drop all charges which is impossible in this case.
