The people aboard the submersible were rich and foolhardy but they were also less directly (or at least less obviously) linked to evil corporate interests. Also one guy dragged his 19 year old son aboard and he didn't really do anything wrong. So that was just sad. 4

The main reason he got away with it was it was not broad daylight actually. Just after dawn when it was still somewhat dark with not a lot of people outside. 1

Sounds like the bus he was on originated in Atlanta but they haven't figured out where along its route he boarded. But his fake ID was reportedly from New Jersey and they thought his gun might've come from Connecticut, so I'm kind of inclined to think he's prob from the New York metro area but who knows Given the trail he left it seems likely they're going to find him sooner rather than later.
