Is this Florence and The Machine's best song?

WKOM is definitely one of her best songs, but my favourite will always be Queen of Peace.

You know it really says something about how amazing Florence is that there are so many different answers to this!

Seeing this thread makes me kinda sad to see that F+TM is very underrated compared to the masterpiece of a catalog they have. They should x10 bigger than they already are.

Knowing how big of an introvert, private person Florence is, and how Lungs' and Ceremonials' successes made her spiral in the alcool abuse, I think their current success is the best they could ask for.

I'm tempted to do an ultimate ATRL megarate of their discography in the upcoming months, since they are so universally loved :jonny:

Cosmic Love is to me, but WKOM is great too

What is your favorite live arrangement on Symphony of Lungs?

I have many.

The first track I always go to because it was the first song by her that I stanned obsessedly, is Rabbit Heart.

But then You've got the Love totally mesmerized me as well upon first listen.

Howl is also up there! Also: Swiming!!!

BTW, my streams which I have posted, are not comprehensive, especially for Lungs which came out before I tracked my streams. Plus, I only got Spotify in 2017. So everything before that was scrobbled via bought digital products and in the early 2010s my music consumption from CD was still like 40%.

I remember it vididly:

The year was 2011. I was in my tiny dorm room at University here in GER. Florence dropped Ceremonials. I bought it via amazon.de (at the time amazon gave you the digital version when you bought the CD. So I downloaded the digital album, since my CD had just been ordered. I burnt in on a CD, plugged it in my good stereo system which I had. Then I lay myself down on my bed, pressed play and Only If For a Night alone made me leave my body. I've had this type of body-leaving experience 3 times in my life:

first time: Butterfly by Mariah

2nd time: MTV Unplugged by Alanis

3rd time: Ceremonials by Florence

It was then and there... in which I lay in my bed, eyes closed and I thought to myself: I can never die because then I couldn't listen to this music anymore.

I imprint on artists. I never let go of them. They stay with me forever.

That is why to this very day my alltime ranking is stuck with the ever same people.

She has so many great songs so no but I love this one. Definitely one of my faves from HBHBHB. My fave is probably Shake it Off or What The Water gave me. I love the way she sings those.

Rabbit Heart is such a special song for them too, so I understand what you're feeling about it! Mine is always Howl, one of their best live songs, since it sounds even more grandious than it already is!

Ceremonials is really out of this world, Only If For A Night is easily in the top 5 of their best songs ever

Perfect, y'all and the overwhelmingly positive response here have convinced me! By mid December I'll make it, so ATRL can finally have its big Florence moment

Earlier this year, I was obsessed with her cover of Drake's song Take Care which is also on Ceremonials (Deluxe).

Florence has the ability to make dull rap tunes sound majestic and out of this world.

I hope that we're getting a Symphony of Ceremonials in the future as well.

BTW I am aware that I'm calling them, her. But it is my way of expressing my love for Florence Welch who I think is one of the greatest artists that has ever lived at this point.

Whenever I hear her sit down for an interview and then I hear her speak with this ultra gentle voice... the politeness, the shyness... I'm done. Florence is so humble. (and then on stage, she explodes).

Yes and the video elevates the song even more, if it's possible :jonny4:
