International grosses:

JFad: $148,100,000

Eras: $80,900,000

So yes, I am surprised.

Domestic grosses:

Eras: 180M

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Morbius: 74M

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Gaga's jFAD: 52M

Complete and absolute rejection of Gaga's jFAD

I get the sense you flunked math and maybe English too. :rip:

gross

noun (1)

: overall total exclusive of deductions

The company's gross doubled in five years.

The Eras Tour movie outgrossed JFAD period. It's an absolute.

And this is 2024, not 2018 anymore :fan:. Should you know how time works now?

Y'all had your Cats and still being cocky? :psyduck: Let's see Miss Swift actually act in a movie.

Taylor had massive successes this year and y'all still sound insecure asf

Not people comparing JFAD to Eras international gross..

Concert films are smaller outside the US and a lot of her fans overseas already attended her tour. The fact that a high budget sequel to a billion dollar movie outdid a concert film outside US by 60m is not something to brag about. It's actually embarrassing for JFAD.

Gaga would never be able to outsell Taylor's international sales or ticket sales.

Lol, this is rich coming from a fanbase who's still mentally stuck in the 2010s. Keep fuming, y'all. The fact that you have to hold on to Cats as a drag for dear life is so :fan:.

OT: Eras Tour not only OUTGROSSED but also OUTPROFITING that flopped caution warning of a movie. No 1B franchise is safe from flopping.

Yet Eras generated over $200M in profit and JFAD had an estimated loss of $200-250M. That's also something that you can't change :cm:

Cause it makes sense to actually compare musical to musical? Especially one where Ms Swift actually tried to act in? Or should we use Amsterdam (2022) :psyduck:

Shocked that Gaga is finally being compared to her contemporaries. Honestly, mo, Taylor is the biggest and more popular artist.

I don't understand why you don't just accept the loss and laugh it off?  The reason why you can't come for swifties on Cats is because swifties don't care for Cats and drag it all the time. If anything Swifties hate Cats more than the GP because it's distracting Taylor from music.  Just say it was a bad movie, laugh about it, and movie on.

This is mainly because the tour is not happening outside the US yet.

Many fans around the world is waiting to attend the real tour before spoil it with the movie. It still sets record for the highest gross concert movie in most countries.

The monsters are already hear fumining

BUT FEAR NOT!!!

JFAD is no longer the biggest bomb of the year.

Thank you Red One. The 143 to Gaga's disease. Both flops but one is a bigger flop.

Do that if you care. I fear us Swifties won't though. In fact the more you'll drag Cats, the less likely it is for Taylor to not do something of the sort again.

There's no expectation for Eras to do as well as it did. Concert movies never do well and Taylor's was undoubtedly an anomaly that can stand toe-to-toe with high profile, big budget, well advertised movies. The fact that it outgrossed J:FAD anywhere is pretty telling :rip:

It's simple, really. The Eras Tour movie had a delayed release outside of North America. By the time it was in theather in most countries, it was already available digitally thanks to screenings in North America weeks before + it was not available in as many theatres, considering it was made independently and not backed by a one of the biggest production company in the world (Warner Bros).

Eras was marketed towards the fans, and the fans showed up in droves. J:FAD was marketed to everyone, and nobody saw it. And those who did see it said it sucked. There's really no way to spin this as a positive for Ms. Germanotta
