Gossip_Boy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I will probably watch for B but the Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight was a nightmare. It was glitching every 10 seconds. Netflix is not capable of pulling off live events just yet.
ReneighIsHere Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago the way she just felt like performing some cowboy carter songs and BOOM they created a new halftime show for her with unlimited budget 3 1
Weld_E Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Can someone explain the difference between this and the superbowl halftime show in terms of budget and performance time?
Comedor Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 2H2H deserves a moment in the set list. Let's get it! 1

As a stan who pays attention to her words and her mantra of "only wanting to do ish if first or it's innovative", I've been scratching my head about where she can perform these days. Cus she's not re-doing the Super Bowl, Homecoming/Coachella is canon as its own thing, Glastonbury is kinda "been there, done that". It was like...what's left? And then boom...this drops out of the sky. And it's such a flex. 200 million+ people...worldwide...live..on Christmas day. It's SUCH a flex. It's so rich in promotional opportunities too. She literally could do any of the following: * Announce a tour (perfect tie-in) * Drop a deluxe CC with new tracks performed * Wrap Up CC with this and Hard Launch Act III * Run a trailer for the visuals right after * Drop the Rennie film on Netflix (as a "gift") She really is playing this game on a level that I think few of us are comprehending. There were no murmurs, no speculation, no nothing. And yet it flawlessly sets the stage for more. I'm not endorsing of all her shenanigans (like, sis, just lean into being a Popstar sometimes). BUT...this...this is a flex. 1 6
OrgVisual Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago But why is there a game on Christmas Day? Someone explains
Lose My Breath Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago And then we are going to get a tour announcement
cuteboyzay Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm so f*cking EXCITED FOR THISSS!!! Literally onChristmas Day!? First Netflix Live Special ever for a Football game!? And the fact that more people have Netflix than they even have CABLE is such a smart move. And on a Holiday, when literally everything is f*cking closed so everyone's just staying in!!! This is lowkey a bigger deal than I feel most of us are comprehending lmaooo!!! Like this sh*t is so smart, I can't. 4 1

I'm just worried Netflix will **** things up.. they had their first live event two days ago for the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul match, 60 million households tuned in and they couldn't take it, the live kept buffering every 10 seconds. Now, i don't think this event will have as much viewers. I looked it up and the 2023 Christmas game had 27M viewers, but that was on TV. Football fans tend to prefer TV over streaming, so I think this event will probably get 15-20M viewers max (which is still a lot), hopefully there aren't any streaming issues this time.
ericcartman Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Looks like she's campaigning for that Grammy afterall

Human Fly Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Why she keep promoting her stuff on superbowl all the time?

Spicy Pisces Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Opening the CC album cycle during the Super Bowl and closing it with this Halftime show like two bookends following her big GRAMMY noms is satisfying. I don't think there will be a tour announcement but I'll be keeping a close eye

Maybe the potential smaller sum of viewers will help their servers stay on track? lol At the same time, Bey is a big name with big global pull on a big day (Christmas), so I could see a lot of people tuning in. Wondering aloud if, post-performance, Netflix will keep it as a standalone special on the service, exclusively within the game (thus driving up views of the game overall), or stick it on YouTube like the Super Bowl performances are. This is all so damn exciting. 1
umich Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 1 hour ago, OrgVisual said: But why is there a game on Christmas Day? Someone explains It's tradition for NFL to have games on Thanksgiving and Xmas day. My guess is for the family-oriented nature of the two holidays. Last year's Xmas game did 30 million on regular TV.
Cbreezy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, Bicassie said: This being a worldwide thing…def great for a tour I'm really trying to temper my excitement and allow it to be centralized on the performance rather than what it could be the "set up for". But it's so damn hard when, like you said, it so easily slots into being perfect tour promo.
truthteller Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago when she opens the performance with her spraying Ce Noir 1
Kiss It Better Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago hold on, if this becomes a thing i need Mariah to do this next year it's so on brand for her and to finally perform a halftime show + promote a new album 1
BnPac Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) She's just so random. The definition of doing what she wants and when she wants. What a life! It's incredible to think her last performance was Be Alive and before, it had been a while too. I don't know what this entails but very looking forward to it. I cross fingers for Yaya and American Requiem. Edited 1 hour ago by BnPac 3
