Hey all! After a very busy week, I finally had a chance to process the submissions I've received so far. But because I didn't have a chance to do as much promo as I would have liked, I'm extending the submissions deadline by another week. If you'd still like to submit, please send me your ballot by November 30!

i'll send mine in the coming days :giraffe:

Will send mine before the (new) deadline. I am trying to get some names on the longlist that may not already be on there so I'm really taking my time. Any word on a Blue Ribbon this year?

I, too, miss the blue ribbon panel! But the Grammys did away with theirs a few years ago, so I went back to a purely popular vote for the nominations. I try to replicate their process as much as I can, though it's imperfect (fewer categories, longlists as a substitute for the label submissions).

Tommy Richman submitted "Million Dollar Baby" to melodic rap, but at least one voter has argued it fits better in R&B. Thoughts?

Oh I didn't know we got rid of it completely! Here for evolution and change :clap3:

There are so many genre fields where I have twice or more entries that I need to cut down on...it's so much easier to just wait on nominations and complain about the predictability and lack of taste huh

Hahahaha just send what you can and maybe post the rest here. Always helpful to have a broader perspective on what we should be considering.

Yay, we've surpassed 20 ballots! And it looks like I've still got a bunch more to process.

Oop didn't realize the first deadline was so fast. I'll do what I can to get my submission in by the 30th!

The Grammy nominations being so early this year really fucked me up.

As usual, getting plenty of submissions in rock, but no consensus...

Still looking for feedback on this! And some other genre questions:

Should "No Broke Boys" go to pop or R&B?

Should "Everybody" go to pop or melodic rap?

Should "Guess" go to pop or dance?

I think ATRL grammys should add more categories from the original ceremony

Which ones? Some of these genres are already a struggle.
