DonnaSpring Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM Posted Saturday at 03:12 PM He needs to embrace gay pop like Troy Sivan please, I love him as a person but his music is too bland 3
jadeabove Posted Saturday at 03:14 PM Posted Saturday at 03:14 PM I actually enjoyed the album very much. Perfect easy listening while doing something else. I find it fascinating how ATRL can cry about stars after they pass after enduring weeks of bullying, and at the same time shitpile them intensely like there are no consequences to it. 3 2

Music shouldn't be easily background noise, music should be the main event 5

But his music career is a flop 4 songs with 2 billion streams on Spotify though... Y'all need to be serious. It looks like most of the pop stars are flopping with their most recent album release. There's something else going on in the industry. 2

Does that even remotely sound like something that would interest him. A man who idolizes John Mayer making dance pop? I need you to bffr Edited Saturday at 03:25 PM by jeffersonairplanes19

Adam lambert has done all sorts of music, the biggest artists try out different genres, if I told you beyonce should make a country album pre 2022 you would have said the same and look where we are people should not box themsvles in genres 1

Not every is versatile or even wants to be versatile. Shawn has only expressed interest in one thing and is happy doing that one thing. He likes acoustic pop, folk and rock and that's what he's gonna stick too.
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted Saturday at 03:44 PM Posted Saturday at 03:44 PM Him and Camila both ruined each other.

I think that stans are out of touch with what a successful era is in 2024 I mean even TTPD is seen as an underperformance which is absolutely ridiculous CC is also seen as a flop even tho it debuted with 400k, had a #1 and is platinum Shawn is underperforming compared to his old days but to say his career is a flop and over is insane, he did a lot. Imo there is a lot of unrealistic expectations by stans There is only one or two artist per year that meet this criteria of success 1
Starkboy Posted Saturday at 03:51 PM Posted Saturday at 03:51 PM The way he started bombing ever since Senorita happened and never stopped
punisher Posted Saturday at 03:56 PM Posted Saturday at 03:56 PM is it just me or have yall noticed a bunch of pop stars get thrown out as new ones come in? i think now that gen z is becoming the main consumers all these uninteresting artists are just getting thrown out the people who were relevant a few years ago need to start working 2x harder if they want to maintain relevancy

DawnAnti Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM To say that island records were giving 95% of their budget to him and splitting the rest on demi and Sabrina is insane

tshwark Posted Saturday at 05:29 PM Posted Saturday at 05:29 PM Bad luck for him, Benson can vocally do what he cannot, so his mainstream slot is taken, and the indie target already has the best delivering that sound.
