Well, it flopped because it sucked, since not only it threw away anything the first film stands for, thus pissing off fans, but also because the execution of this new different perspective was just not it, thus pissing off anyone else.

 

Not because Joaquin was going through a huge media backlash, or because Gaga starred in it (since both were pointed as two of its few strong points), so yeah.

 

Nobody is saying Wednesday 2 is gonna be a success, let's not create false narratives, liddos are just happy for the opportunity Gaga has gotten here, that's it

Notice how it's all the Fadty stans and the one random Adele stan drooling at the thought of Gaga ruining the project and pinning Joker's failure on her, as if SHE decided to make it a musical that ruined one of the most infamous characters in comic book history.

 

This ain't Katy Perry loves, she's not a panned mess that has zero talent or artistic vision. She'll be just fine, you just worry about your fave and her upcoming parking lot tour!
