Obviously not, but the two situations aren't comparable - and while that edit isn't the sole reason she ended up becoming part of the series, it very likely started the snowballing effect

But Beyoncé isn't an Actress. Sure she's done a couple but she never got the acclaim and heights of Gaga. Gaga is seen as a musician-gone-actress and one of the most successful to ever do so. Your comparison is stupid. A better one would be if Bridgerton used Woman In Love and Barbra Streisand guest starred afterwards.

It would be funny if Gaga is a user on ATRL and deliberately takes on projects and career moves that will piss off the OGHs because she also finds them annoying and has kii every time they fume.

She was in a total of one (1) panned project, and the reason it was panned is because of the writing.  A common critique in reviews is that Gaga was underused and did well with what she had.

It's quite possible the offers are either trickling down very slowly or drying up. Apart from Wednesday, she doesn't have much lined up for the future at all, which is understandable after her latest bomb.

What's interesting about this announcement is it happened soon after the bombing of Joker FAD. 

 

From what I hear, the production team offered her a bigger role sometime ago, but she turned it down, so I assume LG (with her inflated ego) thought she was far too good for TV, and didn't want to commit to a TV series. She obviously assumed Joker Fad would be another hit like ASIB was, and thought it would propel her to stratospheric heights.

Imagine what an unfortunate dose of reality it must've been for her ego to witness everything unfold over the last couple of months. lol

 

Imagine going back to Wednesdays production team with your begging bowl in hand for a cameo just to keep her face in the public eye for an upcoming album that has a very good chance of being DOA.

 

and Imagine comparing THE Meryl Streep (75), who is in the twilight of her career with enough hit movies and accolades to decorate a house, to someone who got her first main acting gig six years ago. Three movies to date - one hit, one panned, and the other laughed out of theatres because of her accent.

 

Keep celebrating and living in La La land all you like, but the GP will continue to say no until she finally gets the message. Her time has come and gone and it's never coming back.

Yeah this is embarrassing. The bizarre projections and assumptions pulled out of thin air that she had Jenna Ortega ask for the part on her behalf or that she had to go back and beg for the part after she turned it down or that her offers are drying up in the one month since Joker came out. Gaga does very few movies compared to full time actresses and her next year is booked with album and tour. This was a little cameo as a nod to the massive success of Bloody Mary. And I don't say this lightly but this all consuming hatred to the point where you're obsessing over her imagined career trajectory and making up scenarios is giving weird. It's one thing to have a kii and cackle and another to do all this. Touch grass.

 

By the way, she was acclaimed for House of Gucci, was nominated for all precursors and it was a shock when she wasn't nominated for the Oscar so "getting laughed at" is another thing you made up in your head. Again, touch grass.

 

OT: Gaga booked and busy, OGH fuming and seething.

The haters losing it over a cameo. When a project (JFAD) flops it's Gaga's fault but when it's a hit (DWAS) she's not responsible for it. I can't imagine having to rationalize everything Gaga does. The absolute chokehold this woman has and the false delusional narratives around Gaga I can't. Never stop being miserable OGH.
