IMO Pink Friday 2 is a great example of an album with many high quality covers of which all are beautiful, but that is sadly a rarity nowadays. I kinda blame Taylor for catapulting these low effort album covers into popularity with folklore. All of Pink Friday 2 artwork is done with AI lol don't give us this **** lol 1

There are literally pictures from the photoshoots for each and every single one of these covers. It's photos taken on real sets then edited in post-production
OrgVisual Posted November 10 Posted November 10 What's wrong with that Gracie girl? Trying way too hard to be "relatable"
Alex Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) Ariana defo started the trend of mainstream pop girl lacklustre album covers (no shade) whether we would like to admit that or not but I lowkey blame taylor too because she hasn't given us a good album cover since Red ngl... Anyway it's nice to see some of the girls still trying Edited November 10 by Alex 5
thatsmydemi Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I find some of those covers just fine. They don't need to be overdone to be good (Immunity, GUTS). That being said, some of them do try to serve some visuals. 5

P.O.P Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Pop girls barely care about visuals anymore, I don't remember the last time I was wowed 1

Either way, this thread is about album covers as a whole, not just Nicki. We shouldn't keep this going I fear, you can stick to your opinion that PF2 covers are low effort and AI generated and I'll stick to mine - that they're merely enhanced, which isn't anything shocking or degrading!

bad guy Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Billie remains the only newer girl that stands out visually so not surprising
Phaunzie Posted November 10 Posted November 10 If only they could hire moistbreezy to get their album covers in order

I don't get the concept and message behind that album, was it supposed to be fun and unserious. Like, chasing commercial success? She mixes R&B into pop but the production is not good. I understand what she's trying to say in other albums but this one, I don't get it 1
UnusualBoy Posted November 11 Posted November 11 I mean in some cases it matches the vibe, like you can tell what kind of mediocrity you will get by looking at the cover of Gracie's albums

It's not supposed to be classy or highbrow. 2
SapphireSky Posted Wednesday at 11:26 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:26 AM Most album covers have always been ugly and lazy
Acuminatus Posted Wednesday at 01:56 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:56 PM Gracie Abrams especially needs to try harder with album covers

gab00 Posted Wednesday at 06:04 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:04 PM Not really these are different times. I feel like Gen Z is about mininalism while with Millenials the more over the top was the better.
