Phaunzie Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Yes, all of them look awful and not memorable in the least. Thank you, Ariana, for ruining album covers 1

laqqinq Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I haven't checked out Blue Banisters but from what I had seen, I don't think that is the album cover, an up-close selfie of her.
glitch Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) The art of making album covers is basically dead at this point. Most people aren't buying vinyls or CD and stans will buy the physical regardless of what's on the cover. What's the point in investing in the design of what will mostly be a small jpg in the corner of someone's screen. Edited November 10 by glitch 5

laqqinq Posted November 10 Posted November 10 GUTS cover is kind of nice though. It's not "boring" tbh. Okay, there's not much going on or happening in it, but the 4 letter rings and thumb in mouth add some character to it I guess? 7 1

It literally looks like it could've been part of the SOUR album shoot though. 1 1 2
smartalek22 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Just another aspect of arts lost to minimalism out of countless ones. 4

pavi Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) Let's not act like this has anything to do with recent times. You can find simple covers within every era. And simple doesn't mean bad. Olivia's covers are simple but very well thought out in colour scheme and composition. Sometimes less is more. And since you're adding in back covers as well let's just throw in this masterpiece Edited November 10 by pavi 2 1

The7thStranger Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I don't tend to like covers that are just random catalogue-style glamour shots. Hilary Duff's entire catalogue is a good example of this. Nothing but pretty close ups. 2

That user has made a life out of posting a comment that will get reactions, then stans reacts, then they call you for being off-topic, then report you. Rinse and repeat. 1
