aotwbys Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I hate that they finally call out Jack Antonoff for his stale production but then snubbed Ariana and Max Martin's Eternal Sunshine Prob will never get another Max Martin-produced Swift album again after this
aotearoa Posted November 8 Posted November 8 its weird bc he produced Please 3x... if it was only bc TTPD it would make sense
Archetype Posted November 8 Posted November 8 He's a good producer. I believe he works excessively, to the extent that he has numerous forgettable (TTPD) songs associated with his name, and many artists sought a similar sound during the same period. 1 1
Taylor fanboy Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Anyway, Aaron stomped on him in TTPDTA. Not surprised. 1

John Slayne Posted November 8 Posted November 8 i don't remember him producing anything worthy of an award this year 1
Dolce Vita Posted November 8 Posted November 8 he peaked with melodrama aka the album of our lifetime, his services are no longer needed 1

ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted November 8 ATRL Moderator Posted November 8 I love his work and he delivered some great stuff this year. But he's been on a great streak that few producers see at the Grammys, so the fact that he had that at all is impressive. I'd love to see someone like Dan win this year. 1 1

TouchinFree Posted November 9 Posted November 9 So he was jackedOFF? interesting. Wonder who's the next big producer will be, next? JackOff truly produced terrible albums btw. 1
Gladiator Posted November 9 Posted November 9 His output this year was not as good as previous years. Even in his self titled Bleachers album which was perhaps the biggest disappointment this year for me musically since I loved Bleachers since debut.

You're just revealing your own ignorance, every audio engineer and audio professional has ear protection. He took them out when there wasn't a performance happening and put them back in when there was. 2

JoeAg Posted November 9 Posted November 9 kind of off-topic but I just saw this one picture of Taylor and Jack that I hadn't seen in awhile and I noticed they have a bass laying on its BACK on the floor as a classical bassist who started playing when I was f*cking 9, this is STRESSING ME OUT DUDE you are NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE A BASS LAYING ON ITS BACK! IT'S SUPPOSED TO LAY ON ITS SIDE who the f*ck put it on its back omfg shxhhehxbshxbhdbhdbcj for this alone Jack deserved to be snubbed this year idc if this picture is almost 2 years old lol 1 3

He's a professional at an awards show, he's not putting in airpods to listen to something else in a public setting The timing was because Katy's performance was starting, it was loud and he was protecting his ears (which he relies on for his profession). He specified it after the fact. It's extremely common to wear earplugs at concerts (more people should because the volume levels can be harmful to hearing health), and you can actually hear the music better in a lot of cases.
