Josh Posted November 8 Posted November 8 She was the IT girl in the 90's, she was a jack of all trades; she's a fantastic singer, she was praised by Whitney, her own show, was in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer"
Slap Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) Simple, this website lacks taste when it comes to female RnB. They wouldn't know good RnB like Brandy if it crashed into their home. Also justice for her 2000s hit Aphrodisiac Edited November 8 by Slap 8 3
Joyride Posted November 8 Posted November 8 too local I fear, this site has a lot of international users who have no idea who Brandy is outside The Boy Is Mine, same goes for Ashanti, Aaliyah, and damn, even miss Janet Jackson herself.
AvadaKedavra Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) We dont talk enough about those 90s icons. Everything is always focused on the 2000s-2010s divas Probably cause we are milenials-gen z. i wanna know more about brandy, aaliyah, tlc, alanis, sheryl crow.......... Edited November 8 by AvadaKedavra

Minto Posted November 8 Posted November 8 full moon is her best project and that was in the 2000's and the majority of atrl does not care for R&B so it makes sense
Miss Show Business Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) Two Eleven was an excellent album and should've got more recognition Always a fan of Brandy. My favorite is Have You Ever... That song really tugs at your heartstrings when you can relate to it Edited November 8 by Miss Show Business 1
Polgg48 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 she is more 00's artist peaking her artistic visual talent and beauty there, also videos are stand out above her classic 90's + TBIM but caught out in between appealing new gen back then and old fans that's why she is only known being brandy and against all odds her career lasts pretty long compare to her peers iibh

itshyolee Posted November 8 Posted November 8 You really expect a site full of pop gays who stan down for Hilary Duff to give an R&B icon her flowers? 1
ChooseyLover Posted November 8 Posted November 8 7 minutes ago, itshyolee said: You really expect a site full of pop gays who stan down for Hilary Duff to give an R&B icon her flowers? The funny thing is that us Hilary Duff enjoyers are more likely to give Miss Norwood her flowers than Katy/Gaga/Taylor/Dula Peep/Sabrina stans. Only Ariana stans acknowledge Brandy in some capacity. It's mostly a generational issue, and most of this forum ignores music created before 2008. Anyways, I think Brandy is fairly appreciated among circles who enjoy R&B music. She's the vocal bible and gays here should recognize how Brandy's debut was the precursor for producers like Max Martin and artists like Robyn, Britney and even Hikaru Utada. The mid 90s are truly the time R&B became so Pop friendly and my favourite kind of music was born aka Pop/R&B. 3
Princess Aurora Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I agree. She's underrated when she definitely influenced so many singers 2
sweetsexysavage Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Brandy has so many beautiful album cuts! Get in @Bey_Rihstan!
dumbsparce Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The incident put a stain in her career. She's kind of the Janet of r&b in that sense. Departed remains that bop though
Alaska. Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I think you mean the lack of R&B in general on this forum
Torment Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Brandy Full Moon remains one of my favorite albums of hers.
jdanton2 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 there is not much interest for 90's r&b on this site which would also include male artists who released alot of great music.
playboi Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I love Brandy she's one of my fav and I think she's a lot more popular than some other 90s/2000s r&b girls Full Moon the album is lowkey a cult classic among hipster music communities online
StonedSoulPicnic Posted November 8 Posted November 8 A lot of these people don't care about R&B. I still remember that Carly Rae Jepsen fan (Zeno?) calling it R&Boring on OldTRL. Brandy is a wonderful artist.
Phaunzie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I guess because she is never brought up. Similar to why Miss Badu, Sade, Evanescence and many others are not mentioned. No one has started a dialogue on Brandy until today.
theweekend Posted November 8 Posted November 8 she and Monica were very local so it's common people don't know them
