Young In Love Posted November 7 Posted November 7 her best album, i swear if she was planning a tour... arianators you'll be dealt with
Dolce Vita Posted November 7 Posted November 7 idk i loved positions when it came out, it has some nice songs and the title track is one of the best pop songs of all time, but i don't revisit it at all. some songs just aged poorly to me
Dialamba Posted November 7 Posted November 7 The first time I hated it but now it's her album which aged the best tbh. Nasty, off the table and motive are some of her best songs.
willmcclure9 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Crazy cus its so good. For me; Dangerous Woman > Eternal Sunshine > Sweetener = Positions > Thank U Next > Yours Truly > My Everything The first 4 are all brilliant anyways
cuteboyzay Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Positions is literally her best album lmao! I feel like most of the people that don't like it simply just don't like RnB. They said "too Bl*ck" and labeled it her worst album when it's literally along with Eternal Sunshine the best storytelling she's ever done for an album. Nasty, My Hair, Positions, Shut Up, Off The Table, Love Language, and soooo many others are some of the best in her career. And you can tell that album is her favorite and is literally HER. Just like Taylor Swift, Ariana released an album after literally releasing a cultural phenomenon that IS Thank U, Next. And it garnered her an entire new set of fans. And once she gave something that was sonically less poppy and more HER, the newer fans were confused, while her longtime ones DEEPLY enjoyed it. I'm glad she dragged the tasteless a** fans lmaoooo!!! The hate for it is asinine af and I think people just hate on it just because, when it's actually insanely good. 1

ONOPKA Posted November 7 Posted November 7 positions is a great album, i still listen regularly however i will NOT tolerate the My Everything slander in here. a classic ariana album. 2
Alex Posted November 7 Posted November 7 positions gave us this opus, among others, so she'll always be that girl despite the weird slander towards it 4
thatsmydemi Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Sweetener was worse received than Positions, or at least it felt that way. But I guess critics siding with her helped her not overthink about it. 2

Everything ended up leaking anyway, so joke's on her / her coins. also she should be happy the fans paid positions dust, since she ended up divorcing the subject anyway Beside the POV music video what else leaked?

I'm sure she wasn't even thinking about it, iirc she said she would tour Positions + AG7 together in 2020/2021. Edited November 7 by ariananext
Taylor fanboy Posted November 7 Posted November 7 She's aware of the wrong fans wtf I was jamming in 2020!!!
GentleDance Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Ariana Grande Says 'Positions' Reception Felt Like Getting 'Bullied' "I just mean as far as like what my fans were saying–and like, as far as whatever–I feel like in the beginning of the Positions of it all, I got a little...I'm not going to like use this word...bullied, but you know, you know," Grande said. She continued, "I just got like a little bit of 'this is not what we want' vibes, I think. And I remember that really, I'm such a sensitive artist, whatever. This is the point, you put art there so that people can tear it apart and do whatever they want with it, or celebrate it or whatever." While Grande added that she's "grateful and in acceptance" to be where she is career-wise, that she's a Cancer and "very sensitive." "So I just remember that really like put me in a cage of like judging every single piece," she said. "I scrapped so many things that I was like gonna put out for it. And now people are just, they love it like it's the best thing I'll ever make. And I'm like, what is that? I'm like, how is that fair?" she asked. Grande concluded, "But I love them for it and it's okay and it's fine. And it's not mine anymore. And that's the thing that I also have to say because I am aware, it's like a part of it. And I'm grateful for the voices and for the passion. I am, I really am. But I'm also a person." Positions debuted atop the Billboard 200 upon release, with 174,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album preceded Grande's latest album, Eternal Sunshine, which dropped in March. But elsewhere on Las Culturistas, Grande shared that she's taking a step back from singing entirely to focus on acting. "I'm going to say something so scary. It's going to scare the absolute shot out of my fans and everyone," Grande warned listeners. "I love them, and they will deal and we will be here forever. I'm always going to make music. I'm always going to go on stage. I'm always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise, but I don't think doing it at the rate that I've been doing for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years." She continued, "I think I love acting; I love musical theater. Reconnecting with this part of myself...I love comedy and heals me to do that—finding roles to use these parts of myself." https://www.complex.com/music/a/jaelaniturnerwilliams/ariana-grande-positions-reception-getting-bullied 1
Popular Post shookspeare Posted November 7 Popular Post Posted November 7 well listening to that album felt like getting bullied too so 1 1 27 6
Popular Post Onyxmage Posted November 7 Popular Post Posted November 7 Getting bullied by debuting at #1, having multiple chart hits and selling over a million units. If only my faves could get bullied like this. 23
AlbumOfTheYear Posted November 7 Posted November 7 So she's saying the criticism hurt her but accepts that it comes with the territory. That's not "bullying"? The only bullying that I saw was people hating on that video with her annoying gay friends and like some ugly dog in it, but girl, people wanted to see Ariana Grande so of course they were upset!
awesomepossum Posted November 7 Posted November 7 so she's saying it felt like having an insecure loser sleep with your disgusting husband and then brag publicly about ruining your life? 3
AdrianNicki Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I don't remember people bashing her that hard for this album tbh. Honestly, that's my fav Ari album. The only complain I have is that some songs are too short and feel not fully developed but other than that, the album is great. 1
GagaChina Posted November 7 Posted November 7 the album is little "tepid" compared with sweetener or tun, but there're gems like pov, 69, 6:30, motive or love language
NewStanner Posted November 7 Posted November 7 And I still remember who one of these bullies on ATRL was! 2 1
