I think they're just complacent. They saw the years of millennials trying to make a change to no avail and thought, well what's the point.

This is so obvious. I remember telling people here a year ago that Latinos, specially boys and men were becoming extremely conservative and weirdly pro-Trump. This trend is not surprising at all if you see these circles.
