And APT is out of the top 10 after one week, is Bruno not powerful enough or are you maybe wrong?

With Bruno APT only drop 5 spot.
Without Bruno, Rose will never have a top 10 hit, let alone Top 40 debut. And her 2nd week without Bruno will be -50 or something :hoetenks:

Not even top 25 :deadbanana4:

Imagine if she didn't drop the video. Might've not even made top 40 :deadbanana4:

Without Bruno she would have the same peak of the other Blackpink girls, top 70 or something like that

I really like the song. My only complaint is that her voice sounds very thin and underdeveloped but she's not really a singer so it's okay.

Yeah it came on while I ran yesterday and I didn't hate it but the vocals were definitely noticeable so it took me out of it a little.

A Bar Song spends a 23rd week at #1 on the Hot 100, holding off APT:

A Bar Song has spent a total of 39 weeks at #1 combined on both the US and Canada charts, passing Old Town Road's record of 38.

Also, Stick Season and I Remember Everything finally go recurrent on the Canadian chart, after 73 and 61 weeks, respectively.

Is #2 going to be the peak!? :cries: I wanted that song to be a #1 so bad. I love it so much.

Well, this proves my point. He can't just collaborate with anyone and get a stable smash. Lady Gaga is doing a lot for the song.

a bombastic dance-pop song with a shouted chorus in 2024 isn't lighting up the charts

You just described Chappell Ronan's singles, which have had a huge moment commercially :deadbanana2:

Shocked to see the circlejerk that has ensued by fans of actual flop artists :gaycat3:  Gaga has the #2 and #27 song on the Hot 100—mind you it's a chart only reflecting one country in the world— and here we have about 5 pages already of people acting like her career is down the tubes. She's a legend—most of you forget that when your happiness on any given day depends on the chart position of a single on an album 17 years into her career. It's a great song, but as the #1 song on the chart shows, you don't have to have quality to chart high.

I too dislike this sort of reaction, and think that altogether ATRL needs to mature.

This, however, is not an isolated case and is something the Monsters have been doing to other artists for years, too. That is not to say I believe it is therefore deserved, but it's important to acknowledge that this is a circular thing. Each side feels validated in being extra shady and dismissive to another artist because they perceive that the associated fanbase had done it to them first. It's almost like you cannot blame them for reacting in this way, and yet all it's going to do is garner the same negative attention back to their own fave when the time comes that one of their singles flop. It's quite frankly hypocritical, petty and illogical to act this way, and yet most of ATRL functions and thrives off this very thing.

It seems every fanbase can acknowledge and understand what goes into making a hit, or how likely a single will become one if it has certain factors against it...UNTIL it applies to someone else's fave.

I'm really just jumping of what you said not admonishing you though, because I do feel ATRL's issues are very wrapped up in how reactionary and illogical people are, tearing down someone's fave to make their own look better. IMO, if you have to resort to that, then your fave isn't what you claim they are.

All in all, it's weird. Agreed. HOWEVER, the #1 song is emphatically a great pop song. Not sure why the Shaboozey shade was needed here.
