The album didn't click with me personally, but it's a powerful album.

The way this review is written is so spiteful and nasty though. They're trivializing her very real experiences of getting cancer and lupus diagnoses… all over a tweet?

Whoever wrote this article should be ashamed honestly, it doesn't even read like  music review, just attacking her character cause she lashed them years ago. Also why did they bring up Chappell and Taylor? Where are the similarities? :skull:

Halsey should impersonate her Manic self and repost the same basement tweet :keir:

her lyrics can really suck at times in a way that doesn't show any improvement from songs like New Americana, and considering how stripped down the album is production-wise… it's often cringeworthy or just boring. it's not that much of a shocking rating if someone doesn't buy her whole shtick

Can't wait for her to lash them. What a weird and petty review

Apparently this is the same reviewer who trashed Rebecca Black's debut album :biblio: jail

I don't mind Pitchfork reviews but this one seems really spiteful and personal. They even gave her a 7 for IICHLIWP but now go back to making things nasty.

If Putridfork has million haters, then I'm one of them.
If Putridfork has one hater, then I'm that one.
If Putridfork has no haters, that means I'm dead.

No

Do people calling this a vendetta over a tweet realize they scored her last album with a 7 after that and that they changed most of the staff including the editor-in-chief? Maybe they just didn't like it.

All Pitchfork has left is to be contrarian for clicks, they had to be bought out by GQ earlier this year and couldn't sustain themselves as an independent publication because they were F L O P P I N G. They were interesting reads back in the day but they are one of the most egregious offenders of letting an artist's image cloud their critique of the actual music, their unapologetic review was disgusting.

It's not just the score, but the way the review is written feels unprofessional.

Though it's funny how for every negative Pitchfork review everyone says P4K is trash and no one should listen to it and then they keep paying it attention.

Saying the concept of the album was her Instagram posts is wild, like we have motherhood, chronic illness, childhood exploration, separation, existentialism. Madness, she called it the The Greatest Impersonator, I don't think she's ever been more honest and individual.
