now do radical optimism

What's that? That sounds like a new corporate brand name of some sorts. Has Taylor retired from music and gone into life coaching? I wish her all the best luck, mama.

Short N' Sweet (12 songs) - 25M daily

HHMAS (10 songs) - 19M daily

______________________________________________________

TTPD (31 songs) - 12.1M daily

Midnights was doing 13M daily in April 2023, six months after it's release, with 11 less songs. What is going on?

TorchiePo is not a commercial record girlie like... surely you remember everyone saying it was terrible, right? Clearly, only girls who like bad Taylor music like TorchiePo, and that's just not everyone

:ryan3:

Considering how small the supposed potential receptive audience is, I'd say it's doing just fine :ryan3:

Gaga still has a song in the top ten, although y'all want to pretend it's Bruno's song for some reason. Still though, It's not been a great year for our girls :gaycat6:

except Katy (and JLo) who did actually flop this year? All of our popgirls got at least one hit. And you can't expect constant smashes from someone that had a career for at least 15 years. That's just how it is, even huge acts like the Weeknd have a flop here and there

Maybe Radical Ideologies and TorchiePo are sister records

I am really starting to believe that the era of major label promo is ending. So many of our faves don't even put out music videos, these days, and fanbases are seemingly expected to keep them relevant via social media. This sucks.

People saying Taylor sold a lot so she is consumed as if she didn't release the same album with a few variant songs. People are not listening. They are mass buying.

Go look up the most streamed albums of this year and come back to this statement.

Not some of yall dragging Dua in this when she goes viral for drinking cola (with pickles).

Sit downe. She will stay the most beautiful girle by far + Houdini was a hit and the best song released in recent times

Taylor no HITS, TTPD overshadowed by all her younger peers, last two TVs scrapped, career in shambles

I bet all the ladies and guys in the music business would love to be "flopping" as hard as Taylor is according to this.

Last two TVs scrapped? Clearly she is keeping them for next year when she'll take a break. And also TTPD The Anthology vinyl is coming out soon, so she wouldn't overshadow it with TVs.

They're entering their legacy act phase. Iconic and memorable eras full of smashes with a catalog thatll keep them relevant forever. No mattter their current success. They'll always make money that way and touring. Actual hits will come once in a while from now on.

The truth is.............Artists have a shelf life. Some dont even reach 3 successful albums and they just dip to the bottom.
It will happen to Olivia,Billie,Chappel,Sabrina and Dua. They will survive only if theyre smart enough
Is natural for all artists to flop eventually. Mainstream Music Careers are generally short.
The ones havin huge longevity are some sort of anomaly. Theyre the apex predators in the Pop Landscape.

Oh Solaria just you wait until Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version) debuts with 30m+ sales first week, doubt not the power of the silent horse girlies, watching, waiting, coming for blood

Even if Disease underperforms Gaga literally is predicted to be #2 next week on the charts. She's flopping and smashing at the same time.

The OP's trolling aside, older acts get less successful with the years (typically); new ones get more successful with the years (typically), and the cycle repeats itself. Nothing new

Taylor Swift took over and the world simply became a worse, more boring place. The women who actually understand pop music simply don't stand a chance anymore. Dark times.
