Has Taylor retired from music and gone into life coaching? I wish her all the best luck, mama.

What is going on? TorchiePo is not a commercial record girlie like... surely you remember everyone saying it was terrible, right? Clearly, only girls who like bad Taylor music like TorchiePo, and that's just not everyone Considering how small the supposed potential receptive audience is, I'd say it's doing just fine 2

Still though, It's not been a great year for our girls except Katy (and JLo) who did actually flop this year? All of our popgirls got at least one hit. And you can't expect constant smashes from someone that had a career for at least 15 years. That's just how it is, even huge acts like the Weeknd have a flop here and there

Reginald
I am really starting to believe that the era of major label promo is ending. So many of our faves don't even put out music videos, these days, and fanbases are seemingly expected to keep them relevant via social media. This sucks. Digitalism
People saying Taylor sold a lot so she is consumed as if she didn't release the same album with a few variant songs. People are not listening. They are mass buying. 4

EDIT: and for academic purposes, I checked Midnights numbers after its first 6 months... it was a bit over 4B, compared to TTPD's nearly 6B. The dip is so big that it went upward. Last two TVs scrapped? Clearly she is keeping them for next year when she'll take a break. And also TTPD The Anthology vinyl is coming out soon, so she wouldn't overshadow it with TVs.
Superbitch
They're entering their legacy act phase. Iconic and memorable eras full of smashes with a catalog thatll keep them relevant forever. No mattter their current success. They'll always make money that way and touring. Actual hits will come once in a while from now on. 3
AvadaKedavra
The truth is.............Artists have a shelf life. Some dont even reach 3 successful albums and they just dip to the bottom. It will happen to Olivia,Billie,Chappel,Sabrina and Dua. They will survive only if theyre smart enough Is natural for all artists to flop eventually. Mainstream Music Careers are generally short. The ones havin huge longevity are some sort of anomaly. Theyre the apex predators in the Pop Landscape. Edited Sunday at 03:21 PM by AvadaKedavra 4

lonnie
The OP's trolling aside, older acts get less successful with the years (typically); new ones get more successful with the years (typically), and the cycle repeats itself. Loca
Taylor Swift took over and the world simply became a worse, more boring place. The women who actually understand pop music simply don't stand a chance anymore. Dark times. Edited Sunday at 04:58 PM by Loca 3 1
