Cause I can guarantee Ms Thing was being shady towards Bey her. katara Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I think this Dua analogy is spot on: This is her We're Good: a tired awful song with a tired awful sound no one asked her to do. Dua had Levitating going on at the same time which masked the bombing of We're Good and similarly Chappel has Pink Pony Club going which will mask Giver's bombing. She needs to move on FAST though. I hope she doesn't have more songs coming with this sound. The people who like her will not care about country and the country sphere will not accept her. It's a lose lose situation.

That is pretty much in direct response to Beyonce doing Cowboy Carter and what she said her intention was was Bey even trying to convince the country crowd to listen to her music? i don't think she made CC trying to win the average country fan over but more of an artistic statement and honoring Black country music if this is even shade it's more directed to artists like Post Malone whose last album was a very calculated effort to bait modern country fans (i don't think it's shade in the first place) i'm sorry but you're reaching 3

That is pretty much in direct response to Beyonce doing Cowboy Carter and what she said her intention was No, this is you trying to fit her words into your narrative and especially as a Bey fan, you should know better. Not only does she have genuine appreciation for country music that she has explored before, but also she's done it with great care honoring real country roots that she has been growing up with as well. Her doing a country record is a not a shocker, more of an expected natural progression. If you looked at the actual scope of the current music industry, not just through the lenses of being a Bey fan, you'd see that what Chappell said is way more fitting for other popular artists, most notably, Post Malone who had the 4th biggest song of last year with a Morgan Wallen collab and that was just one of many collabs with the current "IT" country musicians on his recent disposable project. EDM producers (Marshmello, Diplo) or even rappers all would tackle random country crossovers purely on hopes of getting new appeal and a hit. Heck, even Sabrina and her pop country moment with Please Please Please (which immediately smashed) is more fitting for Chappell's narrative than Cowboy Carter. You are shading Bey more yourself if you consider Chappell's words a shade towards Beyonce. Edited March 16 by BlackoutZone 6 1

Shinkirou Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Why is she giving an interview at apple music for a single? A flop single at that. My god, this lazy b isn't planning on releasing an album anytime soon, is she? She really wants to repeat Midwest Princess "rollout" all over again, except without music videos this time
BonniemcChicken Posted March 16 Posted March 16 i like the song, i think it's a bop. but for some reason it's not clicking with me all of her other songs did. i think i need a music video or a new performance of the song. but i also really want the subway so maybe that's my problem.

If you see that video and take it as Bey shade, you're kinda just d*mb sorry. You are right, let me correct myself "the paranoid complex of some people in the Hive..." But really, what happened to those people, who hurted them so bad. I mean if Beyoncé would have had a Britney 2007 or Gaga 2013 I would understand the trauma and thinking everybody is shading/against their fave, but Beyonce is pretty well considered like everywhere...
Naikuun Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Well the song is not good so . Just drop the subway now c'mon.
Lovett Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I'm really shocked at that drop. That's insane. It's also a great song, so really doesn't deserve it.

I just found her choice of words interesting and akin to Beys statement within CC. Not more, not less. Yall can stop fuming at a lil interpretation like that lol
