TipToe Posted October 26 Posted October 26 WW is simply a dull sing, very uninspired and while i think Disease is not necessarily creative (because it's plain fan service and a rehash of older eras) it at least does possess some kind of strength, be it on the production or in Ga gas delivery on some parts.

Radical Pessimism Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I like both songs but Disease is so much better than katy's song.
Capris Groove Posted October 26 Posted October 26 They're both pretty underwhelming to me, a real continuation of 2020. 1
KillingYourCareer Posted October 26 Posted October 26 It's your personal taste and we respect it... Woman's World is catchy but very cringeworthy. Disease for me is catchy and it doesn't bring out any negative feelings, so I prefer it. 2

hungrymuffin Posted October 26 Posted October 26 both are equally bad but at least womans world doesnt feel flat throughout the whole song 1 3
Wicked Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I don't like either of these songs, but I can see why you would say that if you like Katy's earlier music. I don't, I only like 2 songs from her whole catalog. WW ain't one of them. Disease is cool towards the end but the first 2/3 of the song don't do much for me.

CroNich Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Literally no one agrees with you and everyone knows R*pist's World is the worst song ever released by a "MPG" Hope this helps.... 2
Erreur2 La Nature Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Woman's World probably would have worked 10-15 years ago when Katy was in her prime and when people didn't know about Luke's actions but we're in 2024 and it just feels hypocritical and vapid. It is objectively a stupid (in a bad way) song that we don't want to hear. If it was randomly playing on radio I would not care but it's not something I would play by myself. Disease isn't perfect. I don't know who wrote it but the lyrics are not it. I'm not someone who cares a lot about lyrics though, I'd rather have a catchy melody, a big chorus, a good beat. It is an improvement for Lady Gaga, it's far from being among her best work which happened early in her career but definitely better than what she did post BTW and it feels more « interesting » and fun than Woman's World for sure. 1

Keep convincing yourself lmfao, Gaga has never released a song like Disease. WW is the best song on 143, the hate for it is a bit forced, but it always happens with weak lead singles. It's still a Stupid Love knock off so it can't be better than Stupid Love, let alone Disease which is a fantastic song. Edited October 26 by Mariano
FabForAThrowback Posted October 26 Posted October 26 (edited) I like both WW and Disease. Katy and Gaga have always been different and so their songs and I'm happy with that because I can enjoy different styles/sounds/voices, it's like getting the best of both worlds. I've always felt so disconnected from all this neverending stan war between LMs and KCs (other than I find it so immature and unnecessary) since I've stanned both from day 1. I think they're the greatest 2010s MPG and I'll never understand why many can't see what I see. Edited October 26 by FabForAThrowback 1
AvadaKedavra Posted October 26 Posted October 26 (edited) "Disease" is great! The chorus might seem just okay at first, but it totally grows on you. The instrumental and some of the background vocals are a killer. It's a bit overproduced, but I'd take that over the stripped-down style of Stupid Love, Maximalist Gaga is definitely better (8.5/9/10). Woman World" isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The melody is really powerful, and the instrumental is hot. But the lyrics drag the whole song down—they ruin it. The melody is strong, and the instrumental's solid too. But the lyrics just bog it down—they really kill the vibe. With a different theme and smarter lyrics, this song could've hit way harder. The song lacks a bridge too (7.0-7.5). psychodiva336 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 One of these songs reminds me I'm sexy confident. The other doesn't. The choice is simple. 2
