This is a very dumb argument because tons of highly acclaimed performances *only* win one (Rachel McAdams for Are You There God..., Cailee Spaneny for Priscilla, Renate Reinsve for Worst Person in the World) or none at all (Kristen Stewart for Spencer, Mia Goth for Pearl, Toni Collette for Hereditary). The idea that she only won one which is unimpressive!1!1 is so deluded and detached from reality, especially coming from a Katy Perry stan. Edited October 24 by EnigmaticAndroid 5 1

TipToe Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Why would she put the acting career on hiatus because of this tho? That don't make sense and would scream entitlement. Not every role must be a hit or going accordingly to a plan to the T, many other actors with prolific careers have bad experiences too. That's normal.

Its a shame because she really should have swept that season. 2 1

Now that I think about it, that's kind of her niche in movies atm- the silver lining of poorly received dramas I am merely pointing out that he earlier said she won major awards (plural) for House of Gucci
Lyrical. Posted October 24 Posted October 24 This is so fake, clearly put out by Gaga's team for damage control 1

Elementary Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Not her, her team and her fans thinking she actually is this cinematic genius who knew the right formula to make this mess of a movie be good.

fountain Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) It would be understandable if she truly feels this way. She was treated horribly with Gucci and Joker. But ultimately, all of her acting performances have been acclaimed, and this is the most important factor here. She's proven herself to be a fantastic actress. She can keep her head held high. If she's going to steer clear of big budget awards movies for a while, I'd love to see her do a horror or a limited series. Edited October 25 by fountain

I think actors usually star in more panned movies than acclaimed ones. Although I love Music Gaga, I think she has it to have a great acting career (maybe less demanding roles? Something simpler, artsy, Academy Award-ish, I don't know).
