People who are vehemently against AI are so interesting to me. Like aside from the AI art stuff, what's the issue?

AI is the future, like it or not. I now use AI in many areas and couldn't imagine my life without it. And I believe that AI will also change the music industry. Honestly, some of the AI songs I've heard recently have been better than the official material :suburban:

We are so cooked omfg

Cool, let the AI bubble burst and afterwards Apple can only implement things that it will actually seriously enhance instead of shoving it everywhere like google is doing and killing the environment.

When will I be able to tell AI to come on ATRL and make shady posts for me :suburban:

How is AI useful on a daily basis? serious question, I haven't seen how it could be useful for me.

i already gave many example use cases on the first page. AI is mostly a helper for the ones who are already having a busy life, or the ones who are working on something, etc. if your life is stale and boring then of course you might struggle about where to use it and how can it be useful for you.

there's no need for a leak to state what's clear as the air

And the fact that Apple AI isnt even available in the EU. :rip:

most apple features are not available in Europe. back then they said that Siri will know more languages too and still the same languages.

"At least 2 years" seems to indicate it's even worse than they'd like to admit. Their reluctance to rework Siri when every voice assistant surpassed it like 10 years ago was a good indicator that they didn't pay enough attention to where the market was going and instead chased vanity projects like cars that will never materialize.

Apple has near infinite resources for R&D, they treat all their investments like they have monopoly game money and yet... :toofunny2:

Yes. You just don't know how to adapt it to your daily life yet. The possibilities are endless. Did you choose Google Gemini as your main assistant yet? Have you tried removing unwanted people from your pics? Have you asked Gemini to combine two lengthy PDFs, or summarize them? Do you not translate things in real life? Do you not outline things and want to make sure to include vital information? Do you not compile information from around the web that you need for your work? Are you not interested in coding? Do you know how to send documents to the assistant for analysis? etc etc.

I don't use Gemini at all really lol

I don't f*cking care about AI, literally nobody, except lazy f*cks that use adult diapers, care this intensely about AI. Stop trying to make this bullsh*t happen and fix the sh*t that's already not working which is part of your base product (i.e. the goddamn battery life your products, the awful repairability, apple maps, apple carplay being a MESS with apple music)

:rip:

you actually sound so old for saying this, and clearly have no idea on what ur talking about because alot of things your complaining about have been fixed ages ago :deadbanana4:

AI enhances ur workflow and makes things easier to do, helping you be more productive.

Apple actually has some of the best battery life especially with devices that run on their in house chips. Apple Maps has lowkey been better than Google Maps in cities. They fixed the repairability, it literally cost $30 to fix ur front or back screen with insurance.

this is a tech thread in a tech forum. i'm basically trying to educate y'all since y'all love living in a bubble. of course you wouldn't care about it if you're 2 years behind. if you *actually* don't care as you said, then stop entering the tech base.

Right! People on here are something else. How the hell do you run into a thread in AI talking about I don't care about AI. So WHY even enter the thread to begin with? :rip:

...and you sound brainwashed for saying this. I have an iPhone, but I don't buy into the capitalist worship of billion dollar enterprises. Like... everything you're saying is straight up just not true at all. :rip:

The problem of the iPhone is not the battery life of a brand new fresh phone, it's the wear and tear and how quickly it happens. What's the "best battery life" useful for, if 3 months after purchase the battery condition drops below 89% and you need to charge after 4 hours? Apple Maps sucks absolute ass, it is nowear near the quality of Google Maps of showing traffic jams, destinations or just like... having accurate STREETS in the first place. The repairability is not fixed if you have to f*ck with insurance to fix the phone. It's a f*cking $1000+ piece of technology and I'm supposed to pay monthly on top for discounted repairs? And I didn't even mention these dumbass "you are not using original parts!!!!" error notifications once you do have to get a repair.

And most of these issues are prevelant throughout the entire smartphone industry, because all these companies are only after short term big bucks for investors instead of creating actually good tools to use.

I'm not an investment that needs to be more productive and optimize workflows, I'm a human being and I want a phone that doesn't ANNOY me. And I haven't even talked about how these AI farms are going to accelerate climate change at drastic speeds because they're wasting drinkable water and need an unbelievable amount of elecricity and rare minerals to function. All we're doing with this is sh*t on Africa once again, because the decadent people of the West are too lazy to write up a f*cking cover letter for a job application.

the "art stuff" is the red line, period. anything else it could provide is rendered useless to me based on the fact that its a "steal **** and puke it out" machine, not to mention very dangerous. the misinformation the Google AI gives for example is straight up ludicrous and people with learning disabilities for example are at genuine risk.

??? Dragging me for having in my sig Ariana when you got an Ariana avi? :deadbanana2: Sorry that I like pop music on ATRL I guess?

I personally feel AI is a bad move for Apple, and a fad for all other tech companies. Apple is (or used to be) all about privacy and keeping your private/personal info under tight security. I don't see how AI helps that cause.

Also, in my opinion... AI is for the lazy, the only ones benefitting from it are the tech companies who make money off it.... bc like think about it, what good is it to have AI but then have no actual skills? lol... the unemployment line is looooong.
