Kayseri Mantisi Posted October 21 Posted October 21 ******* losers explained in pop terms for technologically illiterate iSheep twinks, because i know we have many of them here: Apple is tanking both critically and commercially, running to collaborate with another it pop girl ChatGPT (no different than installing the ChatGPT app from App Store). https://9to5mac.com/2024/10/20/gurman-apple-intelligence-ai-two-years/ 1 11 2 1

Sombre Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) It's no surprise, they're far far behind OpenAI and DeepMind. Siri has been a joke for almost a decade now, and Apple Intelligence (which is only fully releasing in Spring 2025) seems to be only as smart as ChatGPT 3.5. By Spring 2025 we'll probably have ChatGPT 5, Claude Opus 3.5, and maybe Gemini Ultra 1.5. Apple is insanely far behind. Edited October 21 by Sombre 1

Bubble Tea Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I have a new Samsung Flip 6 and like, the AI is fine but is it doing anything revolutionary on the daily? No. Organising and formatting shopping lists and meal plans is so far its most useful feature,
Arthoe Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I don't f*cking care about AI, literally nobody, except lazy f*cks that use adult diapers, care this intensely about AI. Stop trying to make this bullsh*t happen and fix the sh*t that's already not working which is part of your base product (i.e. the goddamn battery life your products, the awful repairability, apple maps, apple carplay being a MESS with apple music) 3 7 1

Did you choose Google Gemini as your main assistant yet? Have you tried removing unwanted people from your pics? Have you asked Gemini to combine two lengthy PDFs, or summarize them? Do you not translate things in real life? Do you not outline things and want to make sure to include vital information? Do you not compile information from around the web that you need for your work? Are you not interested in coding? Do you know how to send documents to the assistant for analysis? etc etc.

Uncatena Posted October 21 Posted October 21 this could unironically be a good thing, given that AI's downfall is going to be in the next 5 years or so. if they never quite get there, they don't have to rebuild as much as brands who are fully diving into AI like absolute idiots.
Hexchromatica Posted October 21 Posted October 21 We have all this AI stuff but if I ask Siri to play a song half the time it plays the wrong song. Can we work on the basics first

Kayseri Mantisi Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 3 minutes ago, getBusy said: The OP pressed bc people don't care about this crap is sending me this is a tech thread in a tech forum. i'm basically trying to educate y'all since y'all love living in a bubble. of course you wouldn't care about it if you're 2 years behind. if you *actually* don't care as you said, then stop entering the tech base. 1

GenAI is the wet dream of creatively bankrupt Silicon Valley sociopaths. Any person who cares about art and/or the planet, which should be pretty much everyone, knows to stay the **** away from this disgusting, exploitative, and quite frankly, useless bullshit. 4

Not defending A.I, but from Zuckerberg to the Open AI team, very few of the leading voices in A.I are above 50, so it's clearly not an old people thing at all?
