So I think the Gagadook is tormenting Gaga by always following her around/chasing her throughout her eras and sicking different "demons" onto her, like the Dope/ARTPOP Gaga who battled drug abuse, and the Gaga stepping over the other one in the room while Gagadook watches. In the end as the Gagadook loses its power as Gaga starts to win her battles with herself it regurgitates the evil/venom inside her (Gaga again) who then realizes that the monster is herself and she tries to run away/struggle to accept it and the walls start closing in on her. (literally and metaphorically) I think the Gagadook with her hair down is Gaga emerging triumphant. It's happening in the daytime to add to the eeriness/tragedy of it all - darkness is associated with night, but darkness within yourself torments you at all hours of the day. I think this MV/possibly entire era is a continuation of the themes of the Chromatica Ball, coming to grips with the fact that she spent a decade playing it safe and running away from herself in an attempt to heal herself, not realizing it was only making her more and more sick each time. She runs away from the darkness but ultimately the darkness is what literally gives her life, she can't escape it. The Gaga in the trench coat is the real her. She's picking up where she left us off in 2013 but in the most profound way imagineable, this goes so much deeper than just cosplaying as her old self. 3 3

What exactly was the point of her being in that neighborhood the entire time?
