I mean even in Korea this shot to No 1 which no other Blackpink solo track has done since Solo I believe. DWAS wasn't charting high on Melon either which is a Bruno track so the automatic popularity in Korea is clearly excitement for Rose. I think I forgot to say that specifically and should have bc this is a Spotify thread not Melon.

Also yeah even tho the DWAS comps are inevitable why are yall using this thread to bash Gaga and try and bash Rose? We should be happy that a female korean artist has a shot to chart high on the hot 100, that's genuinely historical. Celebrating success of these women that are growing this year like Charli and Rose should be focused on. I don't even like APT but am happy to see Rose succeed because she's my favorite BP member.

While Bruno's name definitely helped the song globally, it's important to note that no other BP member has had an instant skyrocketing to the top of Korean charts with their solos like Rose did with this one, except for Jennie in 2018. Plus she's never had a hit as big as Jennie with SOLO or Jisoo with Flower in Korea, so this is really big for her. Lisa was always a non-factor individually in Korea so there's that.
