What's hilarious about this thread that in order to absolve Britney of this, you have her fanbase divided in either an "shes just a baby she has no idea!111!!111 about any of this, leave her alone" argument and the other side is crying out about about how she's so much smarter than she's given credit for and we're all bullies in response.....to a non-sensical tone deaf at best post of her her not being able to read the room.

I don't necessarily believe that Britney is a genocidal maniac, but I'm 100% sure you guys would not have the same reaction if a Pop girl posted about how much she admires Russian architecture out of nowhere, around the same time they were bombing and killing Ukrainians, especially when she has not taken any stance about where she stands on this issue over a year later.  

 

You can do Olympics level mental gymnastics to absolve her of any criticism, but it is still very tone deaf to post this. The "country" in question has no right to exist and it's murdering/burning people as we speak.

is it tone deaf? Sure. But if I'm assuming intent, I would assume Britney - who is clearly chronically online, and perhaps not the most aware of the intricacies and nuances of foreign affairs (I don't know but I am assuming) - probably just saw this pretty photo on her feed and decided to share it with a caption of how she relates to it.
