It is almost as if he stayed clean to get the all clear for the medical test and his VISA and as soon as he had that sorted he just went crazy and wanted to take everything..

He had said that he was very good at hiding his true feelings or desires so maybe his girlfriend genuinely was not fully aware of the depth of his problem with drugs so im not blaming her.. i just find it completely ****** up that he was basically alone in Argentina doing drugs and wandering around on the streets with fans and randos in the lobby.

Checks out, those hotel pics were giving crack. Shocked at the absence of H tbh.

Poor guy was so far gone in the substance abuse, I feel for him.

Wow. That is so sad, he let himself go. I'm starting to think that he felt hurt because they made him believe he was the lead singer. His solo career didn't take off after the band disbanded (which is why he sounded very arrogant in that podcast/interview) and being the butt of jokes for the fans along with other personal stuff we'll never know. He should have believed in himself and remembered that he was also a father especially. He could also improve his style and music just like any other pop star does. He's now gone but there's a lesson behind this: everything is not what it seems. If you happen to know someone close who is struggling, please keep them close and support them If they ask for your help hint: Personal experience I had with someone a long time ago.:coffee:

I think there's also something in here that we should all be aware of - I think we all expect to just become more and more successful on the upward as our lives progress when, actually we might peak and then decline, and we shouldn't beat ourselves up over it.

This. That's the beauty of life sometimes you can have multiple peaks. Nothing lasts forever and I guess this is what happened to him. However, I think he could have reinvented himself easily since he was in his early 30s and right now there's currently a lack of male pop stars. It is what it is and I agree with you

There's actually leaked pictures of that out there? :deadbanana4: I presume it's just a lot of blood and nothing too bad, right…?

I saw them a few hours ago just by looking through Twitter, and I can't stop thinkiing about that one pic of him with his eyes open and his cap lying a few inches away.

Whoever took those pictures should be ashamed of themselves. The poor lad had just died, why couldn't they show some respect.

I *think* it was one of the hotel staff, presumably the same one/s that sold stuff to TMZ.

i came across the pictures and it just makes me sad to think he died alone. I at least wish someone could have come forward saying they held his hand or something through his very last moments or that he was already gone once he landed. I think whatever email he saw in the lobby set him off and probably felt like yet another setback/disappointment and he just went ham with the drugs.

These ones were shopped around for the press, like the ones that TMZ got. Forensic/investigation photographs are not from that kind of angle.

So so so sad those pics are out there in the internet, like Cheryl said there's nothing people can do to protect Bear from staying safe of the pics later in life... Disturbing.

I can see why people thought it would've been intentional though. He was dropped by his label, then his PR, and accused of abuse all within a few days.

It must have added fuel to the fire of making him want to get so high to the point where he became a danger to himself. And yeah, it wasn't an s-word, but he was going through hard stuff

I think the best we can hope for is that he was hopefully so out of it that he didn't even know what was happening when he fell.

Well a guest in the next room reported hearing a loud violent scream just before he fell .. but the forensic report stated that he would have died on impact so at least death was instant. However with the amount of drugs in his system at the time he definitely would have been out of it too. Not saying i ever want to see this but im sure in a hotel like that there are security cameras everywhere inside and out.. and possibly there is recorded footage of the last time he entered the room and maybe even falling. from the external cameras.

It is so gross that someone went out to that patio, stood like a foot away and took photos. I feel sick since seeing them.

This is terrible. Can't even imagine what someone must be going through to turn to crack for a escape.

It's been a week and I still have this weird feeling :ducky: like a mix of sadness, disbelief, and frustration.

My social media is 80% 1D right now and watching the videos from fans all over the world paying tribute, sharing their stories and feelings about this and things that remind me of my childhood and teenage years... I still can't believe it.. :chick3:

This is an insane take to me because then we can trace anything back to it being a choice? People that self-harm choose to hurt themselves, people with anorexia choose to not eat, people that commit suicide choose to end their lives

That's really not how depression, mental illness and struggling works. Again, you lack a severe amount of empathy if you think addiction is a choice and someone can just… choose to not have it

I understand where you're coming from, but it's offensive to compare depression and eating disorders to substance abuse, they are different experiences. We can have empathy for addicts without saying that it's the same as dealing with depression or eating disorders which don't include outside elements and are self contained.
