Mandalay Posted October 17 Posted October 17 He had the sweetest face among his band mates imo. Oh he looked so vulnerable and lost in his final years. 1

The reality of the situation is — we all have our good moments and our bad moments, especially in our 20's when we're still learning. The difference with celebrities today, is that every time they step outside of their house, it's documented on a hand-held (i.e, phone) camera. Or, someone can recount their "negative" interaction with you to an online publication within minutes. Especially when all you were trying to do was walk from your hotel lobby to a taxi (as fast as you could) because you were running late… It must be exhausting to be famous. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. This 100%. Celebrities aren't afforded the grace that regular people are, and people tend to think things are black and white with them. People forget that they're complicated human beings. He got insanely famous at a really young age, grew up in a lifestyle that very few people can understand or relate to, had to navigate the world on his own when it was over and sadly didn't seem to have a stable support system or lifestyle. That doesn't excuse the abusive behavior we've recently learned about, but he's human and deserved a shot at redemption. Just sad all around. 15 1 1

Prisoner Posted October 17 Posted October 17 After processing it for a while I'm actually crying? Like these men were my teenhood. They're just a few years older than me, it's not right 6
Mandalay Posted October 17 Posted October 17 I've been listening to 'Night changes' non-stop and the chorus hits hard. "We're only getting older baby. I've been thinking about it lately. Does it ever drive you crazy, Just how fast the night changes? Oh the lyrics! 4 1

I love Girls Aloud and to think of how Cheryl has had to break the news to her son, who will now grow up without a father, is brutal. Her charity has a centre in Newcastle that's supposed to provide opportunities and keep young people away from drugs after she experienced friends from her teenage years dying from overdoses. Her brother also suffers from addiction but won't accept help from her. This really is the nightmare scenario for her. Also for Liam's family. By all accounts he had excellent parents and his sisters have also been very supportive. Liam's parents and sisters are very close with Cheryl and Bear, so at least we know they will be able to support him as he grows up and give him all the love in the world. Was just thinking about Cheryl today She's been through so much with the passing of Sarah Harding and now this 2

KKCuteCat Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Cyber bullying is unacceptable and those people took it as if it is a form of justice while they only heard one side of the story. I read some hateful comments about him even after his death and they said he deserved it. I mean, we don't know those people. There were still chances that he was wronged. How do you think about that? However, i think wasting your life just because of some unknown people online is something people should avoid in the future. I know it's hard but there are people who care for you, who love you and try to live for those people instead of caring about those who ain't worth it. 1

Joseline Posted October 17 Posted October 17 May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family and loved ones. Especially his son.
Green Tea Is Green Posted October 17 Posted October 17 My condolences to his family, and good luck to the girl he abused, I hope she has all the support she may need around her
Elementary Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Just a few weeks back people were calling him "attention seeking" for showing up to Niall's concert uninvited and trying to get people to watch him sing and dance. Well newsflash this is what people with suicidal tendencies do, they are seeking attention because they literally need it and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Let's normalize people seeking attention when they need it and stop shaming it as this is their way of asking for help. 4
Rose Posted October 17 Posted October 17 He's been relentlessly bullied even though everyone already knew his solo career was going nowhere. The same with Louis. What joy can you possibly get from mocking someone who is not a threat to your fave in terms of success and also had to deal with major personal issues? Those who like to kick people when they're down scare me. 1
Maybe Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Abusers dont deserve empathy. His loved ones do but he does not. I hope the woman he abused is able have some kind of closure/relief. 2 1 21

Like do you have any sense of respect towards someone's life, I can not understand it.
