Thin White Duke Posted October 17 Posted October 17 20 minutes ago, Joey307 said: Updated opinion: no one has to mourn abusers. I didn't know anything about Liam's alleged abuse before today, but after reading about it, his ex GF had every right to speak on her experience before he died, AND AFTER. Liam might've been young and he might've had mental health issues, but that doesn't excuse the abuse he committed and it begs the question of whether we should mourn or whether we should just say, **** it. I think it's up to your own interpretation. Women's abuse at the hands of beloved men, especially the famous ones, is often too overlooked. Liam didn't deserve to die and he could've improved yes, I believe everyone can be restored, but we don't have the foresight to see if he would've and he's not granted it just because he died. Untimely deaths may suck but that's life, so don't take it for granted and do bad things with the thinking that you can fix it later. Best wishes of peace to Maya. Time and place, jackass. 9 1

If this were anyone besides a One Direction member you would agree with me. You don't have to forgive or condone someone's actions to have some common decency, literally time and place. 12 1
The7thStranger Posted October 17 Posted October 17 (edited) It's so sad that this is how his life has come to an end. He's been struggling for so long. Rest in peace, condolences to the family and positive thoughts for those who loved him as well as those he allegedly hurt. He didn't deserve to die. Edited October 17 by The7thStranger 2
Planet Mars Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Crazy, life is truly so unpredictable. Though I was never a big fan I'll never forget my sophomore year back in 2012 when 1D took America by storm and the girls at my highschool went bonkers. Maybe cause I never followed his career I tend to remember Liam in that light with the bieber (?) cut he used to sport back then. RIP

drivers license Posted October 17 Posted October 17 don't know who this Maya girl is (serious), can y'all take this certain topic to another thread or something? let's not make this space toxic the way twitter is. Liam is a father, this is truly sad no matter how you spin this knowing the fact he's been struggling the past few years too. condolences to his loved ones. no one deserves this. 1 2
Popular Post Burn Posted October 17 Popular Post Posted October 17 I don't think anyone's saying don't discuss the allegations his ex made - but this is a thread about his death. That is and should be the topic of discussion. Anything else is off topic. Maybe make a separate thread to discuss it. I would've thought there was already a topic about the allegations but I've not seen any previous threads about it. Why did none of yall care before today? 16 8
aesthetic bih Posted October 17 Posted October 17 ****, at first I couldn't believe it because the first time I saw the news it was a page called "Sarcasm". RIP
punisher Posted October 17 Posted October 17 you don't have to mourn his death cause he was a sh*tty person but you don't have to start fights in here with people who are 1 3

Many people have memories of 1D and can't just push that aside due to abuse that we will now never know the full story about. It truly is believe all women until it's a male celebrity you like. Like this comment is straight out of '' women are making up stories about abuse and causing harm '' incel playbook that makes women scared to come forward with their abuse, and it gets this much support? Like I understand that everything should be treated with some healthy critical thinking and skepticism, but you are literally putting it out there that she might be lying. And that's especially egregious when right now, she is getting blame for his death because she revealed her side of the story. Edited October 17 by Album Leak 6 6 2

Honestly, it's so damn gross to use something as awful as an abuse only to justify being an ******* to a young person who just died She is literally being dragged into this tragedy by lunatic fans who are ACCUSING HER for his death. That's why it's being talked about. 6 3
Joey307 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Some of y'all REEEAAALLLY showing your ASS in here. It reeks of sexism and cultism. God forbid a man comes along and abuses your sister or mother, dies, and you get told to "shut up" when you mention it while being asked to show empathy. 9
Smarticle Posted October 17 Posted October 17 So sad, seems like he got his life back on track after the Ozempic/drug use allegations and now this happens 1
