Sorta reminds me of Matthew Perry's passing

My 16 year old self would lock himself up in his room and avoid talking to anyone for at least a month. He used to be my favorite celebrity.

I'm not saying he was a saint and I'm not justifying all the terrible things he did but I'm so terribly sad and heartbroken, and he deserves empathy.

I never thought someday I would read this headline

And I'm sad that why I'm saying this.

some of his friends and bandmates started to ignore him as soon as they started their solo careers.

this is such a weird thing to say when we don't know their relationship and what happened behind the scenes

It appears that this is true, so tragic. May he rest in peace.

then maybe they should open a separate thread to discuss the abuse the victims endured instead of using this one to make personal attacks :rip: mixing those topics isn't productive when emotions are running high, especially when people lack the awareness to handle these discussions appropriately

I will never attack anyone for mourning especially when has a big part of a lot of people's childhood

But I don't see how mentioning his past, especially when most of the news are very recent is wrong

but harry didn't even bother to acknowledge Liam when he publicly supported his solo career and congratulated him on his global success on his instagram posts.

why bother posting if you're only acknowledging bc he's dead?

Pls there is zero chance that Harry Styles won't say something about this.. of course he will

That's insane.

I think it has to do with him dying in Buenos Aires and the way it played it our I think there's more for people to sell the photos and news

My heart literally just dropped…

WHAT???????

Not to minimise Liam's death - but it's sad that we've seen deaths from 3 of the biggest UK pop groups in such a short span of time - Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud, Tom Parker from The Wanted, and now Liam Payne from 1D. All gone way too early.

"His Directioners", PLEASE do not generalize. Thank you.

A shocking loss, and far too soon.

Considering how quickly the news broke, I really hope that his family and other significant people learned of what happened from officials and not twitter or Sky News. Awful to think of his poor little kid having to deal with this.

The situation at the hotel seems strange to me. If he was causing a disturbance in the lobby and they had to call the police and if he was clearly already on some substance or another at that point, why in the world did they try to confine him in a third floor room with a balcony? As we are now seeing, that's a potential recipe for disaster. I feel like it was highly irresponsible of the hotel to put him there and leave him unsupervised. Especially since the police were apparently already on the way. Wouldn't you want someone keeping watch until the officers arrived on scene?
