Tylerbv Posted October 10 Posted October 10 A Nightmare on Elm Street is so low I'm always torn because I don't think half the list should be from the 80s or earlier, but I don't think anything from the past 5 years should be on here either. Definitely needed more 2000s content though.

Alaska. Posted October 10 Posted October 10 TCM is an absolute classic so I don't mind it being #1. For such an old movie it has one of the scariest jumpscares in a horror movie. I have to check if Black Christmas is here because it's a lot better than Halloween imo. That peephole scene made me have shivers at night. I had to lower my laptop at the end because the atmosphere was so creepy
Alongoria13 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 TCM making no.1 then releasing pure trash afterwards, the Lady Gaga of horror

nostalgic Posted October 10 Posted October 10 No but they made some points with Pasolini landing in the top 10
_Fey Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Y'all being like "are the writers 60??" and then asking where a trash movie you clearly saw as a child is
UnusualBoy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Some of these shouldn't be considered horror like tf is Jaws & King Kong doing there? And most of the list are ancient movies Rant aside, Halloween deserved to be higher and so is the Thing, 28 Days Later. 1
Capris Groove Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Wait a minute, how is Joker 2 not on there? People literally ran out of the theatres screaming, an Exorcist tea. 3

Lil' Oz Posted October 10 Posted October 10 9. Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom I wouldn't consider this film a horror film its sadism, yes, but horror not. Btw, don't watch it is disturbing. I would make The Exorcist #1 instead of TCSM because the horror elements are still gruesome. Truly the greatest horror film of all time. 1

My "asinine implication" was that much of the list reads like the editor failed to consider a decent handful of more recent films that expanded or challenged the horror genre, but go off I guess? 1
Theblankonix Posted October 10 Posted October 10 not asian terror movies in the top ten, its all i have to see to know that the list its trash
